Stargate SG-1
Space Ghost
Elite Ranger
in Zocalo v2.0
I watch the show a lot on SCI-FI Channel and I have seen most of the episodes. However, there are a few key ones that I have missed.
Small spoilers for those who have not seen all of the episodes.

1) What ultimately happend to Apophis? I know he "died" while on Earth after requesting asylum, sent to another Goa'uld, revived, escaped, and was killed again when his mothership crashed on his homeworld. But what happened to him after that (if anything)?
2) What happened to Johnas Quinn? I know Daniel Jackson came back so Quinn had to go (after all, you can't have 2 geeks) ;) . But what happened to his character on the show?
3) I totally missed the episode with the big battle in antarctica at the end of season 7. What's up with that?

He stayed dead. Aside from an occasional cameo in dreams and flashbacks. So far.
I'm not sure about the other two, though.
1) Yes, Apophis is dead for good.
2) Jonas returned to his homeworld, to unite his people and teach them about what he's seen. He felt that, since Daniel is alive, his main reason for staying with SGC was gone (making up for Daniel's death, which he felt responsible for).
3) The big battle was between Earth and Anubis's fleet. Earth was in a race against time to find and activate a weapon of the Ancients powerful enough to stop Anubis and his forces, especially important since Anubis is half-Ascended himself. The weapon was discovered and activated just in time, destroying the enemy fleet and Anubis' host body (his spirit remained disembodied, and that store continues in early season 8).
Edit: Added spoiler tag

Spoiler: He's been shown in occasional episodes as "flashbacks" and later in Season 7 in the first episode that Christopher Judge ever wrote.

Spoiler: Ok, after the events of the season 6 finale "Full Circle", Jonas and the "resurrected" Daniel stowed away on Anubis' flagship to "paint" (as in mark a location on the ship for Sam and Jack to attack) the thermal exhaust vent, causing the main weapon to become non-functional. They got stuck on the vessel, which later in the two-parter ended up hovering over Jonas' old stomping grounds (the capital of the continent he came from prior to joining SG-1). Suffice it to say, Daniel and Jonas got off the ship shortly before it was destroyed by Ba'al's fleet of motherships. Jonas was rewarded by his government and was allowed to return as some sort of ambassador. Since then, he's only been seen once later in season 7 where he, half of SG-1, and a goa'uld save the planet from self-destructing because of what a previous goa'uld did to create "naquadriah" deposits. (Which powered the Prometheus' hyperdrive reactor until the latter half of season 6...)

Spoiler: Anubis got fed up with using covert methods of destroying us, so he gathered a fair number of ships (close to 40 ships IIRC). He was aware of SG-1 trying to find Atlantis, but was confident that they had not found it. What they did find was an ancient outpost a long ways away from Earth. It was there that they learned that Atlantis had resided on the Earth the whole time, and it had been on Anarctica where Jack and Sam got trapped way back in season 1. Anywho, Jack used the ancient knowlege (which he re-aquired in the first part of the "Lost City" two-parter) in his head to activate the only ancient weapon installation left behind to utterly wipe out Anubis' fleet, including Anubis' physical form. (Anubis returned early in season 8.)
I think that about covers it.

I have only seen a few eppisodes.. but it wasnt too bad from what i saw
Spoiler: Atlantis wasn't on Earth and had not been there for quite some time. However, the structure found was an outpost the Ancients had left on the continent, which SGA developed during its pilot as being a docking area of sorts for the city of Atlantis itself. Still, the teeny structure was quite a formidable little toy.
As for SG:A...
I love it. It's been consistently improving. The writing is on par with SG-1's better episodes, and the concept is interesting. They've done a good job avoiding the "Voyager effect" so far and have been very successfully expanding the characters (fairly evenly, too). I'm also somewhat confident that the current enemy will not be drawn out too long in its present state, as the core concept is just a tad cliche ;) But they've got the whole place to themselves.
Spoiler: IIRC, the city of Atlantis is mobile. It used to reside on Earth, but was moved to the Pegasus galaxy by the ancients long ago. So Vert is correct that it was on Earth, and Sanfam is correct that it isn't on Earth anymore.
Vert, one minor correction: (Minor SG-1/SG:A Spoiler) *snip*
Umm, there was nothing to correct. Notice the word usage in my previous post indicating a PAST tense. Nowhere did I indicate that it was still there.
That being said, I've watched SG:A from the beginning and I loved every minute of it. :D Though for some reason everytime I hear the theme song, I sing "Wormhole Extreme" to the score. Amazing how well it fits too. ;)
as for SGA, Im still not convinced it will be a great show just yet. I have seen the last couple of episodes that aired in the UK (Im really loving bit torrent and suprnova by the way), and while I think they are better than the mainstream comercialized scifi out there (read Star Trek Enterprise), Im just not sure about it yet. It didnt grab me quite like the original SG did.
Personally, I dont much care for the wraith, they are quite the cliche. More so than any Go'uld.
Plus, I love the new gates. they're really neat.
oh yeah, and I do like Atlantis.

:D
Watching SG-1 in widescreen = the only way to really watch it.
