Here are the two good services to far:
Kazaa, a great, free service which actually appears to work right. It's searching is a bit clunky, though. needs refinement. Limewire is a gnutella based client, and is currently the best one out there, which really isn't saying too much. I definately recommend Kazaa over this, simply due to the fact that (a) it used a nifty multiple-download method to get a single file (many downloads from many people with the same file) which sped things up, and (b) it was able to locate far more files than Limewire. The Client itself is also pretty nice, but still needs a bit of interface optimization.

Well, a trigger is a command you copy and paste or type into the screen. The server listens for these, and when it sees one, it tries to intiate a chat with this user. This chat is where you get the files from, but there are other things: once in there, you may suffer from many deep queues. 50 or more, which may take days to get through. For people on dialup, this is hell. It's also a pain for some people to navigate through the file trees.
The Fserve is a File Server where everything is listed in text form. to list files, you type "DIR" (for directory) or "LS" (for List Structure?). to get a file, you type "GET" and the filename. to go to a directory, you type "CD" followed by the name. to go back a directory, type "CD .." To see who is currently downloading from this user, type "SENDS". For queues, type "QUEUES". I'm basing this off of the more popular server script, Polaris. I cannot be sure of what else it used.
In general, there is a decent learning curve to all of this. It takes some time to get used to, and requires patience. In general, nothing comes instantly. It almost never will.

Unfortunatly they dont let anyone have access to the ftps unless they fserve in there.
Maybe some of us could set some up?
