Winamp 5 is out
Talon Mistsong
Ranger
in Zocalo v2.0

Personally I'm still using classic winamp 2.8 and I like it just fine. Just wondering if anyone's tried this yet, if it's any good.

If you ask me, anything more than 2.9x is bloatware.

Okay fine, quibble over details :) Winamp 5.05 just got released. Anyway my winamp hit me with an update popup message today, so I assumed it was new.
I still use WinAmp 2.75. Never had a problem with it...no reason to upgrade still. :)
*Cough*Digitally Imported*Cough*
All the reason you need. :) Aside from freeform skinning. :D
And sometimes the Chronicles of Riddick skin, just because it's preeeetty.

Well, 5.05 has been out for quite a while already too. I've been using it for sometime. Me nitpicking? :p
This is the skin I use and have been using for years already:

Does Winamp 5 do taht cross fading thing at the end of one song into the beggining of another? They started that in three and I never figured out how to disable it, which is why I still use 2.something.
Actually, thats in 2.x as well.

Hmm, never found that before. I really didn't like the whole starting one song before the lsaat song finished thing. it just didn't sit right with me. At least in 2.x it was disabled by default.
Actually, in 2.9x you had to disable it yourself. It was on by default.
The vulnerability takes advantage of the Winamp Skin installer mechanism coupled with a security hole within the Internet Explorer browser.
Awww look at that. Another IE security flaw  Boy am I glad I switched to Mozilla. IE's got more leaks than the Titanic! Wait, I'm not even using w3, why am I even bothering??
Thanks for the info.
I've always used Netscape since I started using internet, but now I switched to Firefox a while ago and so far it's been great.
