    So far, I figure the Alpha release is going to be a heafty 16-20 meg compressed install file. Right now it's 20.8 meg uncompressed, but I still have alot of work to do.

    Cool ! Personally I can't wait to get my hands on it..

    Our mod will take up MUCH more space. Hope we don't scare off customers......

    What can you tell me about the XWA mod ?
    Will it replace ships only ? Missions ? Campaigns ? Speech ?

    And NOT wrong forum coz they didnt made a XWA forum at mods.firstones.com.

    Well right now, certian things can't be done due to the lack of knowledge of certian things in xwa, and my lack of able to make a mission hinders things. I am doing a full conversion, replacing every ship I can, changing all the stats. Some things won't be the same as b5 due to engine limitations. I hope to have a bunch of Campaigns by the end of the mod. XWA can handle a pretty huge polycount, to XWA, 1000 faces isn't much, but to other engines, that's over 2000 poly's. And I only got an athalon 650 with 192 meg ram and a vodoo 3 2000, and I experince no slowdown durring combat with 4 omegas with rotating mid section and turrets(2896 polys each), 4 squads of (1494 polys each), 4 Sharlins (3134 polys each), and I have no Nials yet, but this setup is very awsome....

    the mod is pretty cool I've been playing it. Some errors are in it but it looks cool.

I've gotten alot of alpha testers so hopefully I can get some of the bugs out [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/smile.gif[/img]. Doing a mod with a game that no one has souce code for is hard [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/wink.gif[/img]

    Shuup Nick: We were going to use the Tribes2 engine to do just that. Then Sanfam read the liscense agreement for the engine and discovered that it has a few little tricks up its sleeve.

    Well, I havn't decided against it. We couild still use it, but the IP becomes property of garage games. :/ I prefer to have it open.
