I just came to this site and saw the news about the game being canned. I was, to say the least, a bit pissed. But at least the game was fought for. Eventually there will be a B5 game. I really want the new game to be, like ITF, a space sim, but it HAS TO HAVE real physics. Like in the show. You use your boosters till you reach your speed, and then stop boosting and drift. Then, you can boost 90 degrees and shoot down at, say, a capital ship, but still be going forward. So you can just drift forward while shooting down at it. Also, the game needs freedom. So, I could say this mission blows, and go off to kill some raiders, or take a visit to z'hadum or epsilon 3. As long as I didnt run out of fuel. I want a game that follows the B5 Universe, keeps real physics like in the show, and has freedom and the full known B5 Universe.

My idea, however, was that we would tell different publishers that if they even wink in the direction of making a B5 game, LotR or not, FirstOnes.com can supply the names and addresses of a skilled, die-hard B5-fanatic development team, who worked on a similar project before. ([b][i]Jobs ahoy![/i][/b]) Maybe even tell 'em that Havas owns and has rights to an IP of a semi-finished, 60% ready game. And purchasing that IP would cut back development costs radically... know what would be cool? an adventure type game.. something kinda like the longest journey(as that had a movie-esque quality witha good story and lots of dialogue)
an rpg..is feasible but i doubt it would be easy to pull off.
fps/space sim would be easy. but they are rarely story intesive.
what are u guys looking for?
if we narrow the field it'd help with choosing dev's for their specialties.
