How many here caught the reference to "Window of Opportunity"? (the time-loop episode way back in season 4) at the end?

though it threw me that they recast Weir and she really doesn't look at all like the old one.

The current Dr. Weir in Season 8 was the original actress cast for the role. However, due to scheduling conflicts she was unavailable for the last two episodes in Season 7. So, they got a temporary actress.
I read that from one of the major SG-1 sites. Correct me if I'm wrong.

That remains to be seen since we only saw her "birth". Given his attraction towards Carter, its reasonable to assume that he made her like himself.

I didn't. Must mean I have to watch that episode more times. That episode is great!
Looks like one of the producers thought the actress needed to be changed. This theory is supported from parts of Torri Higginson's interview during Sci-Fi's "SG-1 to Atlantis" documentary. She says that she did not know that the part was cast and filmed already in two previous episodes.
She said she debated rather to watch the two episodes or not because she wasn't sure how she wanted to play the role of Dr. Weir.
It fits. :)
Im going to guess that the carter replicator look alike was meant to be his lover, and is made like he is with the same human emotions. They will be back, but at least now the asguard can do something about it, unlike the last several times. Thor is running out of cast members to name his ships after.
yeah, I did catch the quick reference to the time loop episode, I also thought oniell waking up and asking Tealc about the hair, twice, was pretty good.
For those of you who dont know, this is Tealcs first couple of steps to acclimitizing himself to Earth a little more. He is going to get an apartment off base this year too.
As far as season-openers go this has to be one of the best...
