Loosing an hour is definately on my irritating list...Though the matching gained hour is rather nice at the other end of the year.
Next annoyance: That smell that the common room accumulates over the year. An indescribable mix of pizza, beer (both spilled and spewed...), sticky pop, socks (again!), bad cooking, burnt popcorn (an annoyance in and of its own), and unwashed university student.
Thank goodness I can live in my room. Well...usually...
One month from now I'll be done first year! Huzzah!

I never mind missing an hour for it means the sign of spring! I don't like when the clocks go back and its dark an hour early. Infact I wish they wouldn't change the clocks in Autumn. There's been alot of discussion over the yrs but no action.

I lived in the Laotian (Laosian? My neighbors were from Laos is all I know :p) section of town when I was a kid, and I used to try and be bad@$$ like them, by spitting EVERYWHERE. ;)

Well, have you tried REMOVING all that shit? the smell of pizza and beer will only last for a few minutes if you eat the pizza, drink the beer and then toss the cans and cartons out to hell...
Then i've recently heard of this magnificent earthen tradition to Shower, or in any other way clean oneself. I might actually try it someday...

Does it take year for your socks to start smelling, my socks start to smell at the latest hour after I've put them to my feets.

modem surfers should be banned from the net...especially those who hand out on DC++ ....i've always loved to TRY to download something big with, say 625 bps...doesn't take more than a few years to get what you want...

Hey you don't have to download from a modem user, but if they want to join a hub they have to share so they can't do anything else. Also I know alot of places where you can't get adsl or something faster than modem yet.

Hundreds of them, literally hundreds, in my room alone. Picture a wall in your room. Now picture it [i]crawling[/i] with little orange bugs. Flying and crawling and dying in crunchy piles on the floor. I vaccumed roughly one thousand of them this morning. I stopped counting after 200 when there wasn't a visible difference.
Just checking now there's a few hundred more of them.
Wow! I like ladybirds but don't think I'd like to see that many around! I remember one summer there was a few 100 on the lawn but not in the house thankfully.

Sometimes we get the odd toad appear from the school pond over the road. They are a right pain to try and get rid of, leaping about all over the place lol.
