    As for the jumpgate opening, I tried to find one at an angle to make the Starfury look like it was coming out of it.

    Samuel, I think you should leave the jumppoint out - it makes the logo to crammed IMO (the point is also fuzzier than the Fury so it's obivious they are from different pictures). For the same reason I have a slight preference to your first version, but leaving the point out may change it into the favor of the second version.

    I like what the first variant of my logo Sam.

    I think I could do a little better job on the Starfury, get rid the outline around it. But I wanted to separate it from the background. Perhaps a starfield. I also agree about trying not to make the image look too cluttered.

    Keep in mind that clutter isn't a big deal in this case...this isn't a title page graphic... most people probably won't pay much attention to the forum title graphic...it doesn't need to attract attention because you're already here.

    Here's an idea: take Sam's second variant (the one with the proper B5 logo), and replace the jump point with explosive flames chasing the Star Fury.

    I don't know about "chasing flames", but an explosion might - repeat: might - work. Anyways, before i see something better I thing Sam's second without the jumppoint (sorry, but the fuzziness looks like fuzziness to me, not like depth of field) and little bit cut from the right side so the logo is in the middle is the best candidate so far.

    Here's a question: should the mods forum have it's own logo?
