I'm sorry mate, but I have to seriously object to that statement. The British Army is one of the most professional fighting forces in the world, and I won't hear them described any other way.

hence why i said that we've still got one thats better than anyone elses. i just knew some squaddies while i was with the ATC and it drove them mad when we did everything better than them!

The association green has with the French is pretty much cultural now. The French are frogs, something widely recgonized by everyone. Also, the French are evil.
The British are never referred to as the "green jackets" or anything like that, so I don't see why they would make the British green. The United States has green berets; that doesn't mean Americans are green or that green is associated with Americans on any deep, meaningful level. The same goes for the British and just about every other country.

Yeah - French are g-r-e-e-n...thus everyone who supports g-r-e-e-n supports the cancelation of ITF.

You know, I think that has to be the stupidist statement I have ever heard.
Association with the French doesn't seem to be enough for you greens. I probably souldn't be surprised, since a prerequisite to chosing green is to be messed up in the head, even if just a little. Prolonged loyalty to green multiplies this messed up in the head problem many times over, until association with France doesn't seem like that big a deal, when in fact it is such a big deal, we purples have to exert a tremendous amount of will power to keep ourselves from brutally murdering all of you. If you were sane and completely there in the head, and you greens knew you were greens and were completely aware of what that meant for a little while, you would, during your few moments of lucidity, beg us to put you out of your misery. But being a purple means being good, and just, and honorable, and honest, and merciful. Purple does not quit, does not go insane, and does not lose hope. That is why we have allowed you all to remain alive, God forgive us... Hopefully one day you will understand our decision.
If you doubt what I say, you need only read on:

No, I don't. Does that surprise you?
I don't understand your loyalty to green. You are British. The French are green, and the French are evil. Hating the French is supposed to be part of the British culture. The Brits are the cultural enemy of the green evil. Purple is the opposite of green, much like the British are the opposite of the French.
I don't think it's a coincidence that the French just happen to be green, and the Brits are their polar opposites.

I still don't know why you suddenly started linking green and france.

As for hating the French being part of British culture, we don't actually *hate* the French, we... well yeah, we do... but not all the time.
It's true that France is our traditional enemy, (morso militarily) but we don't scream and shout about it extrovertly, that's just not British, old boy... ;)

well the other week he was dancing up and down the front of the lecture theatre calling the french frogs. ok he wasnt being (totally) serious, but it was all we could do not to start rolling on the floor laughing. theres something about him that you have to have seen him to believe!:D
Totally unrelated, but we have a psychology teacher who's kinda crazy... To demonstrate something about anger, he was jumping up and down screaming "I DON'T LIKE BEEF STEW!" so loudly that the teachers below and to either side of him had to come see what was going on... there was literally dust falling from the roof :p
we all know the french are not to be trusted. they eat snails, and frogs!
by the way, purple may have won the poll between green and purple, but as the Master Color (guess which one) was not able to join this poll, the result may be severely misguiding.
Kneel to the only true Color!
You know what, lets try to keep everything in one forum. So lets stop using this one one stick to the other one, at the following link if you're green and you need special attention:
