What happened to Kazaa Lite?

What happened to Kazaa Lite?! I thought it used to be a program, similar to Kazaa but without all the adware.

Now it seems like you can't get it without having to pay for membership first?

WTF!!!!!!!

    Yep, I have the old version too, just wondering what happened to it.

    The website has become very cheesy, with all links pointing to the signup page and Support link being a mailto tag.

    I've still got my old copy of K-Lite from way back when, and so long as I don't have to pay for anything, I'm all good.

    Kazaa got them shut down. Google even had to remove all the pages about it from their cache, apparently.

    Ah, that explains it... interesting, I didn't know this had happened until now. So then my next question is... anyone know what the latest released version of Kazaa Lite was?

    Try google with other country settings than US.
    At least before I got very different result when searching with different coutry settings

    Guys, the folks at Kazaa are suing anyone hosting or linking to anyone that hosts any version of Kazaa Lite. You might want to edit your posts just incase one of them just happens to drop by Firstones and sees this thread....
