Buda5 Ship Package : Unexpected end of Archive

Hello again,

question : I've downloaded the newest Buda5 Ship Package and I get an Unexpected end of Archive Error with winrar.

I know that the best thing to do is to download it again... but I've already downloaded it 5 TIMES!!

Would it be possible to use BiTorrent to share this file like you did for the InGame package??

What version of winrar do you use? Maybe it's an older one so it can't handle with this zip file?

Btw, you needn't to extract the Ship Pack. Copy the file into the mods folder and see if the game work properly :) .
• My Winrar is 3.00

Hello Roi Danton,

seems like you never sleep.... until now perhaps :-)

Like I said in the subject, my winrar is version 3.00.

I know that in order to install a mod, I just have to drop the zip file in the mod folder, but what if the zip is corrupt? or CRC failed? or like me, unexpected end of archive?

Thank you for replying so fast...
• Still corrupted...

So,

I've tested the zip file by dropping it into the mod folder but when I start the buda 5 mission pack scenerio, (after enabling the ship pack and the buda5 inifiles), and I did get a error message in the buda 5 presentation screen telling me that the ship pack is missing.

And I tried opening the ship pack with the last version of winrar... same problem : unexpected end of archive...

that's all folks for the feddback....

do you plan to re-upload the file?

Sorry, but currently I have very very short time and so I can't investigate the problem more intensive or upload it. Plz wait some time, I won't forget you :) .
• You're the boss...

No problem, I'll wait and by the way, I'll try to download the file once again (you knows....). Perhaps it's my Getright program...

I bet the release of the Mission Collection and the Buda5 presentation was a total success! it's a MUST HAVE, really!

I just can't wait to try the mission collection.. grrrr

Thank you, again Roi Danton
I count on you.

I asked in this thread for the Ship Pack and Londo Mollari answered:
Originally posted by Londo Mollari 2
Started last night finished this morning, and problem solved thanks
btw, a good alternative to a seperate download manager like GetRight is the Opera 7.20 Browser ... I'm very satisfied with this program

if you still have problems then I try to upload a new Ship Pack
• Opera 7.20??? -----> GO!!!

Thank you again for the tip, I'm currently downloading Opera, and then, I'll try to download the ship pack......... again...

I'll keep this thread up to date as soon as I'll test the ZIP file.

PS : same problem with my last try with getright...
• I need to try once again....

OK,

I've tried 1 time with opera but I got a CRC fail in the zip file and the game tells me that the ship pack fileis missing but I know it's due to the CRC fail of the zip.

But I've had lots of problems yesterday with my DSL line, and I've lost my connection several times. I'm trying again today but it'll take me around 7 or hours to complete the download.

I'll post a reply as soon as I will test the zip.

See ya'
• Problems again!

I know I said I would keep you informed of the situation Roi Danton but I cannot tell you more about this file because THE F***ING WHOLE DOWNLOAD JUST BROKE AND STARTED AGAIN FROM 0. I WAS AT 99,9*9% WHEN IT STARTED AGAIN ALONE !!!!

F***ing sh*t

Sorry for my langage but I've restarted this damn download for the 8th time. Just imagine 8x7hours of wait

• Thinking about yoga...

I will see if I can re-upload the file today. Being currently at the university.

I downloaded it yesterday evening and couldn't find anything wrong with it.
• Re: Thinking about yoga...

@Yoga: Well, I'm going to spinning this evening to relax. ;)

................ that I cannot download. Funny world...
Have you downloaded the file continously or with breaks between? If not continously then maybe the file corrupts when you resume the download?
• Warlord IIWarlord II Earthforce Officer
It's pretty sure that there's nothing wrong with the file because others have downloaded it and had no problems. So problem is somewhere else, maybe your computer. I had LAN with my friends week ago and my friend transferred zip files from my computer to his and they were corrupted but they are fine in my computer. So something went wrong in filetransfer (or something was wrong in his HD for example).
• Don't understand... giving up.

Hi all,

Thank you all for your feedback... I feel very alone now.

I've downloaded it once again and guess what?? unexpected end of archive, again...

My connexion seemed to be ok when I leave (no way, I won't stay next to my computer waiting for 6 or 7hours...) and the file is right sized when I come back but... with this error.

Perhaps the download broke itself and started again alone... I was using getright first, and now Opera..; but still the same touble...

I think I gave this damn luck too many chances. Sad to say, but I'm going to forget about this file. It's possible that I'll try again from times to time, but I'm fed up now... very VERY fed up.

Anyway, thank you all again and especially you , Roi Danton, for losing your time with my bad luck problem...

Maybe, one day (or night in fact) in a year, you'll see a post from BrunoEOC on this forum saying : "DAMN!................YOUR MISSION COLLECTION ROCKS! is it to be continued?"

• @Bruno: If you still read here.
Wild idea: Maybe you have a NTFS partition and the zip file has problems with it due to the file size? Or an old FAT16 partition on your HD?
2nd wild idea: Send me your Adress per PM and I'll try to send you a CD if it isn't too circumstantial (details per PM).
