HaloPC...

Well...

it was SOOOO worth the wait! This game OWNS! :)

about three hours into the game now, been playing non stop. takes awhile to get used to how to drive, but eventually it is easy! :)

my only problem right now is some sound issues, two speakers are fine, but 4 has some problems with certain sounds being soft, other loud. (cant hear my weapon fire, but my buddys I can..etc)

guess I'll download the patch and see if that helps.

BTW, game looks awsome, and is nice and smooth at 1024x768.

    Upgrade time... :D

    I'm getting this game ASAP.

Upgrade time???!?!?!?!? every benchmark i run tells me: "You are able to run any current or near future game at the highest detail settings". The onlything in my PC that could use an upgrade is the CPU, an XP1800+...
  • Without a doubt an awesome game. If my laptop here at school could run it I'd be playing nonstop. Just as well I guess, wouldn't want to lose my scholarship but still.........

What kind of Motherboard just out of curiousity?

well, ok, if i'd get a new CPU, i'd need a new MOBO too ;) ASUS A7V 266E (the one with onboard RAID)
  • heh...full details, could bump up the res without a problem (ran pretty well at 1280x960 in fact, max details)

OK...I'm like, dunno how far into the game...new bad guys...one hit kills but there are MILLIONS OF THEM!! MAN!

Its probably my old video card (GeForce 2), but the flashlight is acting really really weird. It doesn't seem to go across polygon boundaries...

For example in the first level when you are trying to get off the ship, and you end up running down those dark little passageways; the flashlight will light up the hallway only until the next rib in the side. (Depending on where you are standing, somewhere between 1/2 inch and 3 feet.) As you step past the boundary the next 3 feet light up all at once.

But aside from that, its fun, although at this point I have better control on the xbox version :)

Same thing here, and I wouldn't exactly consider my machine bottom of the barrel...

I considered buying X-Box for Knights of the Old Republic, and Halo. But then I realised that I can't play 1st person shooters because I get somekind of epileptic seizures while/after playing those.

And X-Box doesn't have anime style rpgs or that many other games I would like to play that I couldn't play on PS2 for example.

Not gonna buy PS2 either, because I still have my working Megadrive II (that's Genesis for some), and prolly could get a working Nintendo 8-bit, or supernintendo for cheap(ish) from huuto.net.
