Having a blast, but two more questions

I hadn't played IDW2 in over a year, I liked it so I couldn't bring myself to remove it from my hardrive but it was so damn hard in the beginning I was easily frustrated. Now that I have discovered all the great B5 mods I get to enjoy this game AND live out my B5 fantasies of playing a B5 game.

That being said I hate to keep asking dumb questions but you guys have been very helpful so here are two more;

1. when I tag cargo do I have to wait until Jaffs loads it all before I leave? It seems I should have a lot more cargo than I do but I have been tagging a bunch then taking off (Jaffs is SOOO slow, any mods to speed his loading times up?), do I only get what he loads while I'm waiting around?

2. Why do some ships (EA Omega and Cent. Vorchon) blow the hell out of everything by themselves and is there a way to turn that off? They automatically kill any red enemies but they also keep on killing all the crgo ships, even AFTER they dump their cargo. Will that hurt me later on in the game, meaning is the Ai smart enough to remember I kill them (or my ship kills them rather) anyway so they won't dump their cargo and will instead try to get away? How can I tell which ships have this feature. (It isn't the wingmen on the Omega as I couldn't them working yet).

I guess that is more than two questions so I might as well ask another. With the Narn G'Quon (my favorite B5 Wars miniature to paint, you guys did an incredible job with it, well all the ships are incredible but this one stands out) instead of missiles it fires Frazi fighters, is there any way to control them after they are launched?

    i don't know for sure, but i beleive it's only after jafs enters LDS and leaves your sensor range that the cargo is counted as yours.

    Yes there are mods to speed up jafs loading of cargo pods, you can find them on the web. But if that's all your interested in, wait for the release of ingame, as a similar mod is included with ingame.

    i'm not sure what you are talking about... but any capital ship will have automated turrets that fire on enemies.... they're supposed to.. they're capital ships.... thats what they do ;). If it's red, the capital ship's turrets will shoot at it. which is good, they handle the things u can while u take care of other capital ships. there's no way persay to turn them off, and why would u? the ship would be just a big slow fighter without them.

    no i don't beleive the AI cares how many cargo ships you kill, as i always kill them after they dump their cargo (i'm ruthless, what can i say?) and the campaign continues without change.

    the g'quan isn't equipped with missiles... it wasn't in the show, so it's not in the game.. it does, however, have energy mines. AND it DOES come with fighters, as do many other ships. they just happen to launch like missles in EOC.

    as for control, you can remote link to any individual fighter by pressing CTRL + R and pilot that fighter. But they do not respond to wingman or turret fighter commands (as they are not wingmen nor turret fighters). At the current time i don't beleive there is a way to have a ship carry more than 2 fighters (those would be turret fighters only) that can respond to commands... therefore i opted to be able to launch multiple fighters, without direct control.. they will still fire on enemies and follow you wherever you go however. :)

    [/B][/QUOTE] The cargo is yours once its tagged and you have called Jafs. After that you can leave the area.

    Oh Logic, I wasn't complaining about the capital ships firing automatically I think it is very cool, I was just wondering about it. Same thing about the G'Qoun and the Frazi's, I think it is very cool that you made it able to launch the Frazi's. I wasn't complaining about the lack of missiles. I'm totally impressed with all the great work everyone has done so I just wanted to clarify that I was in no way complaining about anything.

    Yes, also sometimes it is hard to show your ideas to the others per messenger (i.e. icq) due to the lack of the possibilities of the ways of explanation.
