    Hmm... maybe I should clarify. Basically, I think that the whole-body tunic that women in most islamic countries are forced to wear is purely a form of sexual oppression, and should be subject to change over time. This, however doesn't happen until the rigid assholes on the extremist ends stop taking into account the laws that oppress women simply for men's sake. There's quite a few of those laws that aren't mentioned with a single word in the original scriptures. To me, that's the worst case of opportunism in the form of "religion". Not to mention cowardism. It's just another way of saying "I have a small pecker and I'm afraid of women." I could be wrong, but that's how I've always taken it. :D Religious beliefs put aside, of course. How many women would choose to wear those without fear of religious oppression?

    So: Turn the tables upside down and get the people responsible f***ed in their asses a few times. It might serve to make them realise a point, or it might not. Anyhow, some poetic justice would be there. :D

    And if you think I'm being an asshole and just mouthing off, you're wrong. I'm 100% straight, believe it or not, that's your choice, but I don't mind having fun with anal, hers or mine, as long as it's with a woman and by mutual consent. Consequently, I can say that I've never asked anyone to do anything that I wouldn't have been willing to do myself. Yes, also in bed. ;) Call me liberal, sure, but asshole? No.

    I'm not a mindreader, I don't know you nor do I claim to. Nor do I know when you've got the male equivalent of the PMS nor do I choose to care. I might be wrong in my arguments sometimes, and that's fine. We're human. I stand corrected when I err,but in all honesty, take a look at your first reaction and tell me that it doesn't seem uptight. I mean geez, it wasn't even aimed at you. From what I know about you, you seem to be a pretty bright guy and as such I have respect for you, but in the same sentence I have to say that you've proven yourself to have some issues with basic manners.

    You don't have to like me, just respect me for what I am. As I do you. If people just choose to do things a bit differently than you do, it doesn't mean they're wrong or that you're right.

    If you choose to start a debate, I'd appreciate people chipping in with their own points of view for perspective. And yes, I've downed a few at this point, and I don't really mind.

    DC, for what it's worth, I think he really is most offended by you talking about "those crazy people", which is basically one step short of making fun of them thar raggies and crazy muzzies. Which, I should note, bothers me as well. It's fairly racist language, even if it doesn't seem like that was your intent.
