    I installed ubuntu on my parents computer for one reason. There were way too much to be updated all the time in Windows and every software had different interfaces how to go through the update process, so I installed Ubuntu because most software patches and security updates are patched through the same simple update interface. Also, Ubuntu is really easy to get going, even the scaner and printer worked without any special updates and drivers that were not included in Ubuntu.

    I still haven't done much with ubuntu,. we're still using Mandriva at work, mostly becuase i've already git it sest up the way i want, and am too lazy to do it again, lol
