I was doing a little reading of HP Lovecraft and that got me doing a little research int the man and things he influenced, when I stumbled upon this page.
Thought it may be of interest to some.

Isn't Cthulhu that monster who's name translates to (tee-hee) "goat-sucker"?

LOTS of Sci-Fi has had a race with tenticles around the mouthparts.. The Quarren from Star Wars, there is one in the Last StarFighter...so it's hardly unique.

Typical JMS. Another tripute race is Gaim who look like Dream from the comics series The Sandman with his helmet on. The creator and writer of that series was named Neil Gaiman.
(In case you did't already know...)
And of course Neil Gaiman wrote an ep of B5...
B5 races could be a good spin off b5, like b5 space pirates or a technomages spin off or the last war, or... the federation...about the earth...(out of babylon5), or the psi wars, or the history of the conflict (about the vorlons and shadows)... b5 had the ...potential to be a sinergy proyect....
a global proyect...is not only a movie or a show...books..games...only part of that was really used in b5....ST is the closest thing and the only global proyect related to tv show in sci-fi with that .....
---------
gaim....like the ..... in starcraft?.
