I love it.

They actually had me convinced. For a fraction of a second.

Spoiler: that they would actually destroy the Galactica

The music, the shot, everything about that moment had me believing it.

Me too actually.

Spoiler: I thought the Pegasus would jump in and pick up the Galactica survivors, then after the battle they would rename her to Galactica.

Its confirmed.

Someones gonna die tonight.......

Who will it be this time?
• David of MacDavid of Mac Elite Ranger Ca
Of course, they reason they did that is Spoiler: so you would yell out, "Fuck yeah! Take it, you six-pointed bitches!" when the Pegasus rode in to the rescue. It was perfect.

I did a lot of yelling in that episode, actually. Cheering and clapping, and wincing and I might've even teared up once or twice.

If they keep it up, we can have a weekly betting pool :)
• Vorlons in my HeadVorlons in my Head The Vorlons told me to.
My thoughts exactly. I was right last time. This time my bet is on Blanders. I mean, he's a guest star and next episode Starbuck goes into military mode and looses the hair again. Probably all motivated by his loss. So yeah, thats my bet. I'm going for two of two. :D
• I'll take that bet, Bud....I don't think it will be Spoiler: Anders but rather Spoiler: Jammer
• SanfamSanfam I like clocks.
My personal vote of Spoiler: death is on Spoiler: Anders as well. Though if we do see lynch mobs heading out against cylon supporters, we just might see his untimely demise. But Anders would be the most fitting due to his state. But damnit, I kind of like the dynamic his presence created. Also, I still wish Jammer was a cylon. I mean, there was such a strong case for it before the occupation.
• SpiritOneSpiritOne Magneto ABQ NM
For my money Spoiler: I would say probably Gaeta, since they think he was one of the biggest collaborators. I would hate to see him go though, I like him.
• David of MacDavid of Mac Elite Ranger Ca
It would be just like this show Spoiler: to lynch Gaeta despite his protests, only to have the evidence he was actually the informant come out afterward, thus ending the witch-hunt.

Maybe Lee will fall over on Dualla and kill her.

Dammit! I didn't see that one comming. I really thought it would turn out the other way around and they would never find out about it.
• JackNJackN Lightwave Alien
I like the fact Spoiler: that Baltar is facing his own jury. If he turns out to be a cylon, it is a circle of his peers too! hah hah. I really don't think they'll go there though. More like the cylons are fracking with him as much as they did Starbuck. Still though, Baltar as a sleeper is an interesting twist to consider. One of the greatest minds of their time turns out to be a cylon prototype/infiltrator at the same time he is responsible for the colonies defense systems, and he just happens to have a 6 embedded in his psych as a watchdog? heh heh I like when the lines get blurred.

;)

This was a really good episode overall even though at the end it got a bit predictable to me. Spoiler: I knew Gaetta would get off the hook once he let out the details he was the informant. The first scene with Jammer kinda shook me though. I was sad to see him get spaced. I really didn't expect he'd get made out so easily and even less get spaced! At the very least I expected Tyrol to stop it once he found out about Cally. I liked him. He's been around from the beginning. One of my favorite scenes in Valley of Darkness, asking Apollo what the hell is rolling a hard six when they were fighting the cyclon boarding party. Funny thing is one of his other big episodes was Litmus where coincidentally enough he takes the fall for the chief in a witch hunt. Poor guy goes through yet another witch hunt only this time it ends a lot worse for him.
Also kind of cool Zarek got to be president for a day. IT escaped to me that he was legally still the next in succesion. One thing that struck me as a little off character was Zareks execution order. I know Zarek isn't that great about obeying laws to the letter and all but for a character that was seemingly strongly against governments having that kind of unquestioned authority it seemed strange. He must have been really pissed or really thought he was saving Roslin the trouble and do the dirty work himself.

It would be cool if they'd bring him also on the show, even if it were just for a cameo, like running into Katee Sackhoff. :D

Spoiler: I liked the scene with Jammer. It was, if I can use the word, enjoyably uncompromising. The episode felt a bit unrealistically clean towards the end, though.

I agree about Zarek, too. Despite giving a very good, cold blooded argument for the necessity of secret, summary executions, it was completely out of character, and weakening him ideologically is a very short road to bad cliches where the revolutionary must be corrupt in order to justify the existence of the system. There are times when the writers very clumsily and inappropriately write in shades of grey (anyone remember Starbuck at Cain's funeral?). This was definitely one of those times, though, to be fair, not nearly as stupid as But Cain Was Soooo Safe.

I still want Lee to eat a box of cookies and fall over on Dualla, tragically killing her. One can hope.

I still don't get how you can get fat on a battleship. It's not like the Pegasus turned into a Love Boat over the period of a few months. Unless of course they put lard into their morning coffee... :D

When you think about it, BSG is a scifi show that manages to work without fake foreheads and other alien contraptions, so I guess they needed to give the make-up department something else to do.

Either way, it's just not very credible.
• JackNJackN Lightwave Alien
Spoiler: Have you noticed how wierd the "Sisterhood of the cylons" are reacting to motherhood?

I'm thinking in the cylon realm that it is becoming a he vs. she even in the vote. I bet anything those that voted against bringing Baltar aboard the cylon basestar were the male cylons.

I find it amusing that the human like cylons are dealing with all the same human pros and cons the actual humans have dealt with for millenia.

The Cylon empire might be becoming a queen insect style empire.

All sorts of possibilities...

:)
• Something interesting I noticed Spoiler: d'anna said the vote for Baltar was three for, three against, and one undecided....that's seven. Could it not be supposed that all of the human models voted? Is it possible that there really were only seven 'human' models, leaving the other five to centurian, raider, heavy raider, Base Star(?) and one more? Just a thought; It just seems that, if the human models were voting, all would weigh in
• David of MacDavid of Mac Elite Ranger Ca
Spoiler: Maybe they were limiting it to the models who'd actually had some kind of contact with Baltar... and then letting Leoben vote, as well.

When Zarak was making his speech about people getting tried and becoming martyrs and such, I was surprised no one called him on his hypocrisy. After all, the only reason he's in a position of power is that he rode his illegal actions to fame and fortune. On the other hand, maybe everyone realized that was precisely the reason he thought the trials were so dangerous.
• SanfamSanfam I like clocks.
Spoiler: I believe it was stated that the models refer purely to the human-form cylons

As for that episode, though...it was pretty damned good. I was fearing for gaeta, though. They've been putting characters up on the chopping block in huge lots lately, and I fear what could happen if one of my favorites were to bite the dust.

I'm really wondering where the next episodes will take us in regards to this business. Tigh has just been slapped in the face directly in the vein of what he last stated.
• Vorlons in my HeadVorlons in my Head The Vorlons told me to.
The 12 models are all the humanoid ones. Raiders, baseships, centurions, and the unseen half breeds dont count. First of all centirions are known to be non-sentient and the half breeds are the base ship itself from whats been let out. Supposedly the remaining 5 are a heavily guarded secret even the known 7 are not fully aware of and not even allowed to speak or think of. There are several theories. Its possible the remaining 5 might be a sort of secret leadership. They might be single models with no duplicates, or they might have been boxed for some yet unknown reason. Perhaps a coup within their own ranks by the other 7. More than likely though David Eick and Ron Moore just don't know who they are yet and have not cast anyone for the role.
• SanfamSanfam I like clocks.
On top of that, we might not even ever get to see the final five. At the moment, the primary concern is to advanced the plot, not to show off every single thing possible.
• Vorlons in my HeadVorlons in my Head The Vorlons told me to.
Is it me or is there something really 80'ish scifi about the inside of the baseships? Looks like right out of Buck Rogers.

It is rather odd in there, isn't it. ;)
Well, not too much to say regarding the episode as it was a cliffhanger. But I am enjoying the long downward spiral of Col. Tigh. The split between him and Starbuck was made clear in this episode: she decided to get her shit together while he is on the long road to oblivion. Tigh has been on a rollercoaster in this series; going from the alcoholic, mess of a first officer to the man who was willing to do what was right by rigging the election / leading the rebellion; and finally to the deep abyss once more.

On another note, I'm guessing the basestar "hybrid" is Number 8?
• ArethusaArethusa Universal Cathode
Spoiler: No, the hybrid, like the raiders, centurions, etc is not one of the twelve. They're something else, it seems, but presumably "human" like the seven so far.

The base ships aren't so bad in the corridors, but I agree they're quite terrible in the command area. Hopefully we'll soon see the end of that with the projection stuff.

Overall, this was a lot stronger than Collaborators. Hopefully they'll keep this up. So far, this season has completely restored my faith in the show after the mess that came towards the end of season 2 (seriously, the person who wrote Black Market should be fucked to death).
