ok good, im not the only one who had that reaction...

Just incredible! I cant even describe it.

Spoiler: When Adama jumped the Galactica into the atmosphere, my first reaction was "I didnt think those were terrestrial starships?" Thats one hell of a gusty call, but it puts your fighters at ground level where they need to be in order to help facilitate the rescue.

That was just, just WOW.

Never in a million years would I have imagined that stunt Galactica pulled. Absolutely stunning! Oh and Pegasus' Spoiler: death as powerful a moment as the best B5 ship ramming. I dare RDM to say that was not inspired by Babylon 5. hehe
• Very nice action level !!!!!
• Spoiler: Oh noes! The Castillo Moustacheâ„¢ is gone forever! =(
• HuntSmackerHuntSmacker Firstones Ambassador to Starcraftia
OMG! That episode gave me indigestion from all the tense actino!

At least now they are back on track. :D

That was so good I might have to watch it again!
When Pegasus jumped in firing that massive salvo splitting the first base star in half I actually went "haa haa yeah take that!!!" Eat nukes you frakking Cylons! :D I loved the end of the episode the way they showed the different emotions of the occasion. Feel really bad for Saul now, he sure sacrificed a lot for the colonists.
Very powerful episode both actionwise and emotionaly. The ending scene with the look on Tigh's face, Adama watching back at him and Starbucks reaction was so incredible that words were not necessary. This was a grandslam episode worthy of an Emmy at every level. Be it for special effects, for acting, and for drama.
• Falcon1Falcon1 Elite Ranger
Just watched it again :D

Yup they should get some award for that! Gripping stuff!

So what will the ratings be for that episode??? Doesn't seem to be much to worry about for me. BSG rocks, simple as that. If people are too lazy to tune into the this new series well then they are not fans of the show at all.

Its not often that a TV show leaves me emotionally moved after the show, but this one did. Thinking of where both Tigh and Starbuck are going to go next, after what they've been through, well, its not going to be pretty.
HAHA! I thought the same thing! I also thought, "are they going to land that thing!?" When I saw the preview during the credits I figured that was the Pegasus crashing to eart... er... New Caprica. But its death was amazing! Three basestars in one pass! Brilliant!

Oh... and SWEET FRACKIN' MOTHER OF GOD!!! Awsome episode!

When the Cylon kissed Starbuck, I kept thinking about the knife she was carrying... and I wasn't disappointed. I think she'll get over it, she's a tough cookie.

As for Tigh, he'll do what he does when he's upset, he'll get another bottle of whatever they have onboard and pass out.

Awesome show. If this keeps up, they'll have to issure health warnings before the shows so people don't get hurt. :D

You know, on the subject of ratings, BSG is consistantly one of the top episodes downloaded on itunes, many times the top episode. Its also currently the #2 most downloaded season of any show and thats going against shows than get 5 and 10 times more viewership on the Nielsen ratings. Its obvious that a lot more people are watching that what the archaic Nielsen system says. I think the viewership just doesn't fall well into the demographic typically polled. Unfortunately the old school dinosours who run channels don't understand this most of the time.

holy sweet mother of pie!!!!!!

that was frakking awesome!!!

There was an interview with Jamie Bamber on Sci Fi.com and he said that he'd like to show to be seen by more people. I have a feeling that RDM and the rest of the crew aren't happy with the viewer demographics. I wonder if having the show on ScFi actually hampers it reaching a larger audience? When ever I've mentioned the show to people they always go "oh right yeah whatever" because they immediately think its the old series. When I explain thats its not pure sci fi in the Trek model they get interested. I think the old image effects drawing a wider audience for the show.
What do people think about the upcoming episodes? I reckon the fleet has a breather for a while. Sure they've lost a ton of resources what with every thing that got left behind, number of people that died escaping plus losing Pegasus. But I reckon the Cylons are major screwed for the moment. Losing 3 out of 4 basestars is a huge lose. Even in the previous episode they said they were stretching their resources very thin. So I think they will have to regroup for a while before coming after the fleet again.
I think...
Spoiler: If people thought that BSG was dark before, just wait till they see the aftermath of 4 months of Cylon occupation. If the trailer for next week is any indication there are some pissed off people, and they are going to get thier retribution on those collaborators. That is going to harbor in the minds of more than a few people. Sol is about to go through a rough patch. If he was a drunk before, its on now, there is nothing left between him and the booze other than how fast he drink it.

As far as the Cylons, I think they will back off for a while, they did say they were stretched thin at the moment, and then they lose 3-4 Base Stars, but they also get Hera, and that means they have accomplished one of thier objectives. But that doesnt mean we wont see them, we should get to see whats going on with Baltar, Caprica 6 and Hera.
• There has to be something wrong with me, because Spoiler: I think this wasnt such a great episode.

Oh yes, guns and fights, sure, bring em on! But something didnt work... I enjoyed how the episode 1 ended, and how it left everything open for the next episode.

Spoiler:
Maybe I knew how it all is going to end, though I didnt. I had a hunch that Pegasos will show up and be destroyed while saving Galactica.. Galactica cant be destroyed, the shows name is Battlestar Galactica ffs... I knew the Cylons are bastars, at any point I didnt think the child to be Starbucks. I knew that the plan is going to succeed.

Like said, I knew too much though I didnt. It ruined the episode for me.

Only surprise was that the Cylon baby was taken by a Cylon that way, the prophecy was somewhat different.

Good news is, we're back on Galactica. And where the hell is Baltar?

There is something wrong with you then....

:D :p

... because that was a most excellent episode!

Holy fraking shit...that was incredible!

SataiCallista and I were off watching it with my roommate, and we were amazed.

Fantastic episode, nothing more needs to be said.

• SanfamSanfam I like clocks.
This episode really made me want BSG equals of the old Playmates Star Trek toys.

That was one thing that was truely unnecessary. I mean, what a waste of money... at least Tigh is going to be walking around with an eye patch which is way cooler than a fat Apollo. Ok, so they tried to go for the unexpected, but that just plain sucked.
• ShadowDancerShadowDancer When I say, "Why aye, gadgie," in my heart I say, "Och aye, laddie." London, UK
well i dont think it was a unnecessary. it did counterpoint the fact that they had gotten a bit soft. but that doesnt mean i like it
• SanfamSanfam I like clocks.
Oh, actually, I lied. There are some toys. Awesome $5 die cast models, including a galactica with retractable hangar pods! But they're only 3" long, and I really would like a bigger toy to mess with. :p
• Falcon1Falcon1 Elite Ranger
And maybe Tigh could get a pet parrot! Would round off the whole eye patch image :p And he could train it to squak "frack" all the time.

Lee has to lose weight now, he's got to squeeze his fat ass into a fighter again.

I have a question... did that episode top Severed Dreams???

I think it was darn close imo.

Controversial....

Quint, Brody, & Hooper (singing):
"Show me the way to go home
I'm tired and I want to go to bed
I had a little drink about an hour ago
And it went straight to my head..."

Or perhaps, Adama and Tigh will get drunk together and sing songs and compare battle scars.

Arrr.... :D Now that you mention pets, what happened to the dog? :(
• yea...I want Starbuck to have a pet dog. That would be awesome. :D

Got 'em!!

There is also a Titanium Ultra (approx. 6" long) version of Galactica floating around...hard to find, and I don't have that one yet, but pretty cool nonetheless.
