how much did that cost u?
only about $1000. It was on sale. :)
Price is such low for big screen that I guess it's resolution isn't very high...
Like I guessed

You should turn that to side, that way you would have usable vertical resolution for browsing web. :D
That's low res - lower than my 19" :)
It's cause it's a TV, not a monitor.
Indeed. And though its not perfect for surfing, playing WoW at its max resolution is sweet, and movies are great. And the important factors, contrast and brightness are great, as is the quality of the sound and the product itself. :)
Well, my Dell UltraSharp 2405FPW has worked just fine for 17 months. Of course it ain't the gamer's solution, but the new Samsung S-PVA panels (BenQ FP241W, Dell US 2407WFP) should correct that shortcoming.
In theory, yes. But the current generation of panels were also supposed to be far more usable in the real world than they turned out to be. Milliseconds here, milliseconds there...it all adds up. Personally, the Apple 23" Cinema Display is now a damned reasonable monitor given the recent price drop. I'd suggest that to anyone in a heartbeat.
Be careful with 24" LCD monitors. We've had many a discussion about them recently in IRC, and there are some serious drawbacks with many of them, unfortunately. :(
I dunno...
My 24" Philips HDTV FlatTV (PHL 23PF8946) has been excellent as a TV and a monitor. Not that it can go much higher than 1024x768, but for the price (clearance) of around $650 I can't complain at all...
:D
Especially since it still had its warranty and all... ;)
So far it's been a beaut, althought I haven't yet tried the DVI input. Very happy, and buying a bigger screen for my single flat would've been pure overkill.
I was looking myself for one but it is all so complicated with the HDCP and HDMI doohickys and how/why to future proof. I am waiting for my 19" CRT to smoke and blow up.

Clearly you don't use dual monitors, or you'd notice the 60ms input delay.
