Just been doing full day in trying to get one F-S Scaleo to work...
I just have to wander what the fuck they do those at factory because at some point operating system (or some software) just pulls whole operating system to overhand knot and only solution is to format C and make clean install.
First sign is error message something like "C:\Windows\Sys32... |CONFIG| - file missing or invalid"
XP Home's CD-ROM doesn't even give repair install as option. (according to F-S tech support that means installation "detected" previous installation was too fucked up)
At that point installation gives option install OS so that it first removes files of previous installation but even that doesn't help: After copying files to HD and reboot it only gives error message along lines "Read error - reboot the machine".
All that time whole content of hard drive/NTFS partition is completely accessible with Linux Live CDs so fault can't be in HD or corrupted file system!
Also hardly any other programs (than those which were originally installed) had been installed to computer and it has been used very little.
In fact this is fourth F-S Scaleo from five I know which had this problem so there's definitely something badly wrong in what they do to them.
Also cousing who is in PC support of big school said that they aren't going to buy any desktops or laptops from F-S because they have better things to do than "play" with them.
So you have been warned if you or some relative is considering buying of F-S PC.
