A little experiment in Water

ok, so frozen water...
Anyways, i was watching Titan A.E. again, and decided i'd want to do something like the ice-crystal field...
of course i was to lazy to model actual crystals, so i settled for something more asteroid like...

Originally there was a ship in there to be reflected in the ice cubes, but it never looked right, so i took it out again, and (as you can see on the second picture) it didn't look any good until i put the fog in..

    I like the fogless version better since in neither you actually see water, I find the space or vaccum effect more appealing. Fog in space, if at all is usually not depicted as being white or grey...

    The one thing I notice that makes it look fake is the lack of smaller bits or debris. I don't imagine chunks of that size to be floating around without smaller pieces.

    A derelict vessel inside those asteroids would look nice indeed. :)
