Nice work on the mesh so far. Modelling the interior of a ship is quite a challenge.
I'm not quite there yet... still a 3D rookie. I guess box-modelling isn't an option in this case. So much to learn, so little time.
Now I can't - yes I can :D Imbedded image button.
HOld this thought for a little While lol
*poof* Dissipears to get pics

Hanger: This can take 48 Hel'Zha Interceptors. 2 to a bay, 6 bays a side, 2 floors. Note a Hel'Zha interceptor (WIP of mine) is a slim fighter. The bays will only take one Fury cos of the width.
Yellow squares are lights. Main hanger doors can be opened.

Overall design (Preliminary) I thought I have lost the mesh, hence the stupidly high poly one lol. Found it a few days ago, but in a half-way built status. Gives the feel of what I am after.

Missile bay. Hut sure how to build it so here is the garb:
What is going on here is this: The 2 cylinders on the floor rotate to allow loading of the big nuke missiles (lower ones on each side) These are stored in the 9 red & yellow ended tubes on the forward wall. 3 or 4 are in the tubes and you just load em in after combat.
The 3 on either side of the bay are for the upper 3 tubes on either side and are convential anti-ship/station missiles. No reloades kept except in the tubes.

Additional Info
Those hexagional panels are about 2 in across. they are individual and removable. Some will have access trunks, thrusters etc under them. They are also raised slightly off the hull, and it is cut away behind them. Hence the large mesh.

Oh & BTW I have thought about how weedy those "hinges" look, but we are talking zero G here so a small object can easily move a large object if it is pusing off an even larger object like we have here, but i would still like to hear comments on it. (Read the text files first thought)

and prefixed EAS - Earth Alliance Ship lol
ISA designed & built for EA
Thought it said that in the description above
The missile hatch hinge mechanism seems a bit odd, but I guess it is based on alien technology. :D
Keep it up.
Cool pics, keep up the good work!
Well first of all the hatch slides up about 1.5 meters on magnets. Then the arm things extend from the side and the ends rotate and using magnetic clamps attack to the door. they move it up a further 1.5 meters so it is clear of the hull, then they move each side 0.5 meters outboard so they are clear of each other then they swing open.
Those balls on the arms are go anywhere hinges, and when they clear the storage tunnel they start to rotate to get the door open.
