This is who greets me..

..every morning I ride home. The images dont do her justice, shes all golden and beautiful, but I thought Id share. Pictures taken around 0500.

    I think the best sunrises I've seen have been at [url=http://www.killbots.net/gallery/taipei03/105_0528]11,000m[/url]. [url=http://www.killbots.net/gallery/singapore05/img_8938]Lower altitudes[/url] aren't as impressive, but still pretty.

    You get some [url=http://www.killbots.net/gallery/japan05/img_1046]pretty nice sunsets[/url] at that altitude, too.

    Of course, up a mountain is always a great place to see the sunrise.

    I also get to see a beautiful sunrise over Rangitoto every clear morning, but, curiously enough, I don't have any photos of that in my gallery.

    Biggles: You got her in a good mood there, but I have to say she smiled more true to me. ;)

    Cmon: Yeah, at most, Ive been up this early a dozen times in my life. That might be exaggerating a bit, but you know what I mean..

    But its definitely worth it. I hurried from work so I could see her in all her glory.

    One of the best sunrises I saw was on a train going through Glacier National Park on the way to Chicago. Gorgeous, just gorgeous.

    I got bored enough to try stringing the many photos of have of the sunrise from Mt Fuji together into a video.

    It's far from perfect, as I didn't have a tripod with me and the frames were taken [i]approximately[/i] 30 seconds apart but, laking a tripod, I didn't bother with the timer (the last two frames were actually taken quite a while later).

    Thanks, I hate downloading packs.

    Edit: Wow! Suddenly Im thinking of starting a website dedicated to showing sunrises from different places on the planet. Beautiful!

    You and me, both. I have a "download as needed" policy, making extensive use of GSpot to tell me what I need.

    I like mountains, and I like sunrises/sunsets. Put the two together and you get a very happy Biggles.
