B5/ITF Music in a Star Wars Documentary???!!!

Falcon1Falcon1 Elite Ranger
Last night on ITV, a UK tv channel, there was a documentary on how Industrial Light & Magic have contributed to the film industry since Star Wars began, and it was hosted by Samuel L Jackson. As the program was wrapping up I suddenly heard some familiar music playing in the background. Then the end credits began... and who was it??? Only Chris Franke, and yes it was Babylon 5 music playing. But it wasn't just Babylon 5 music, it was a section of Battle Sequence A from Into the Fire!!!! I was stunned... I thought I was hearing things but sure enough in the additional music credit was Christopher Franke. What I thought was weird was why they sourced music from Chris Franke esp when they have some much to source from John Williams.

Anyway it was pretty cool and it brought a smile to my face, esp to hear some music from ITF aired on tv, again.

Well the weird thing is that it wasn't listed in the Guardians TV guide. Thats why I watched some of it as it wasn't supposed to be.

I saw that documentary earlier this year when it was shown on a Finnish TV-channel. I too noticed Franke's B5 music in the background, but didn't realise that it was from ITF. Interesting...

Well you can all thank Sierra for skipping out on the Bill...

Until they pay for it, it's entirely his, and his choice to do with as he pleases...

After all, Franke had done music to that documentary. I have seen it and I thought it was great to hear Franke's music in it.

It was a clip from Battle Sequence A but it had been "remixed" somehow. It didn't sound exactly the same. Or then there is something wrong with my ears.

It was slightly altered alright, but it was still pretty much the same.
