Who are you, what do you want, why are you here, do you have anything worth living for?
ooo there are sooooo many quotes......I hope all 5 seasons make it to DVD..
Slightly off topic, one of my favorite moments in B5 season 1 is the day of celebrating the different religions of the races..and then the end of that episode..very powerful.
Vir: "He has become one with his inner self!"

Greatness is never appreaciated in youth. Called pride in mid-life. Dismissed in old age and reconsidered in death. Because we cannot tolerate greatness in our midst we do all we can to destroy it.
And from The Coming of Shadows(the Emperor):

Not a smart-ass oneliner as I would have liked to have said but something that makes my mind ponder from time to time..

G'Quon wrote, 'There is a greater darkness than the one we fight. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost its way. The war we fight is not against powers and principalities, it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope, the death of dreams. Against this peril we can never surrender. The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. "Now, we gave you a promise and we are bound by that promise and damn you for asking for it! And damn me for agreeing to it! And damn all of us to hell, because that's exactly where we're going! We talked about peace. You didn't want peace. We talked about cooperation. You didn't want cooperation. You want war! Is that it? You want a war? Well you've got a WAR!"

If I take a lamp and shine it toward a wall, a bright spot will appear on the wall. The lamp is our search for truth, for understanding. Too often, we assume that the light on the wall is God. But the light is not the goal of the search. It is the result of the search. The more intense the search, the brighter the light on the wall. The brighter the light on the wall, the greater the sense of revelation upon seeing it.
Similarly, someone who does not search, who does not bring a lantern with him...sees nothing. (He sighs in frustration) What we perceive as God is the byproduct of our search for God. It may simply be an appreciation of the light, pure and unblemished, not understanding that it comes from us. Sometimes we stand in front of the light and assume that we are the center of the universe. God looks astonishingly like we do. Or we turn to look at our shadow and assume that all is darkness. If we allow ourselves to get in the way, we defeat the purpose, which is to use the light of our search to illuminate the wall in all its beauty...and all its flaws...and in so doing better understand the world around us.

Of course, I've always liked Londo's story of his first wife from that same episode.
"The next day, I woke up, I saw her in the light of day, sleeping against my arm, and I decided I would rather chew off my arm than wake her up."
"Aw. That's sweet."
"Nooo, no, she had a voice that could curdle fresh milk. 'Lond-o!' 'Yes, dear!' 'Londo!' 'Coming, my darling! I'll be right there, my love bug!' "

And Londo's speech to Morden just before he blows up Selni:
