    The whole country is going ballistic with celebration at the moment, let me tell you. :p We're always the last on the charts. And now we won with a record number of votes. Thank you Europe!

    The Finnish version of Wikipedia on the word "Hell" currently reads that "lately, degrees below 0 celsius have been measured in Hell."

    Haven't witnessed such collective joy in ten years, when I observed (and joined) the celebrations at the centre of Tampere. Absolutely amazing moment... this will be remembered with warmth a long time. :D

    Yes, it is quite unbelievable... All the shame from other Eurovision contests is now gone, now its time for celebration.

    And about that record number of votes, its not fair... Because this time there were more countries voting than ever before, so that is not justified to say we beat the record.

    Anyway, our Lord's deserved to win, and they did.

    To be honest this has shown us Brits exactly what we think of the contest, even though we did give Finland 12 points... something new is always good.

    This competition is mainly political voting and not even about the music... I shall not rant on :) Congratulations to Finland :)

    Very true, and this worked well to our advantage this time. There were a lot of 12 -pointers cast to neighbour nations from a lot of countries. Without this political 'hugging', there would've been a much tighter competition between the top-3, methinks. So now we got evenly good scores from almost all the countries thanks to the metal & rock -fans in each country and the hard bombshells (highest scores assigned to the toughest competitors, like Russia) that could've brought Lordi down were divided by politics to altogether different contestants.

    But yeah, I'm darn glad. The much needed change in the winds on ESC has been long overdue. Hopefully we'll see more less-generic performances from 2007 on. :)

    The political voting might also be because people in neighbouring countries listen to the same kind of music..

    Hoo! :) I actually voted for her... loved her show. Plus she's cute, beneath that act of hers.

    And she's younger than me!? Cripes! :o

    I've always had a little fling towards Icelandic dialect... wonder what it'd take to get her to move to Finland? ;)
