Ultraviolet
Lord Refa
Creepy, but in a good way
in Zocalo v2.0
Fucking awesome. Just watched the whole miniseries today.
It's fucking great really.
Totally recommended to all who enjoy the vampire mythology and british quality dramas.
Acting is good.
The characters are good, you really get to worry for some of them sometimes..
And the music. It's damn athmospheric.
And do not in any way mistake this for the piece of shit that's Ultraviolet the movie with that resident evil girl..
And at play.com it's selling for 15 euros on dvd..

So, Ultraviolet for 9.99 and FireFly for 13...
...and Advent Children for 12.99 and all the music to boot...
Dang.
But still, even tho it starts slowly, it takes up speed for the end to make it all worth while.
Ultraviolet the movie. Severely un-awesome. Painfully hilarious at times.
You know what wasn't awesome?

Yea.. I know. I havent seen it, but even before I heard the first reviews I knew it was gonna sink like Titanic.
This is nothing more than a tech demo, the SFX are nice, but you are short-changed on the action and the non-existant plot makes for a poor movie experience.
At least John Travolta looked halfway interesting with his dreadlocks. Lara Croft isn't popular with the crowds because of her pistols... even though Milla Jovovich does have a nice pair of... uh.... eyes, that's hardly enough to justify this movie.
Aeon Flux was similar in form, but that movie at least had a story.
Roger Ebert didn't even review the movie, now I know why.
And they said Battlefield Earth was bad. Ultraviolet makes Battlefield Earth look like f'ing Blade Runner!!

Yea.. I think we all got that.. Fuck the movie.
But have you seen the series? :)

I beg to differ. The effects actually seemed quite awful when I saw it. The action-heavy scenes regularly looked very fake and painfully "CGI-y." Of course, there were also other scenes with incredible quality...but not enough of them.
now the exams are finally over, ive just gotten round to watching it. only seen the first two episodes so far, but omg its totally awesome! great find refa!:)
Wait till the show really starts. ;)
I can't remember now, was it the 5th or 4th episode.. but there's this one scene.. one part that sides with two scenes actually, that's really awesome.. the music, the feeling and all.. You'll definitely know what I'm talking about when it comes. ;)
