Anyway. Today a demo was released for it. I've spent the last 10 minutes cracking up as I play the game. So much random stuff going on. My character thingy appears to be singing along to the background music while gobbling up hamburgers. Basically, it looks like someone at Sony saw that game where you're a blob of tar and added LSD.

This game rocks.

    Bah! We dont have Flashplayer 8 at school, and the computers are wiped clean when reset..

    Right. So they basically ripped off the old Putty -Amiga game with the basic elements of Gish (PC) and hired a crackhead for the graphics.

    While the game looks fun and will probably be praised for it's original approach, it's everything but original.

    That being said, it still looks like very much fun, though. I'd probably be buying that one should I own a PSP.

    Sorry, should have mentioned. It's a PSP game.

    Yep. That's pretty much what I said. I think the crackhead did the sound and music too, though. :)

    Games don't [i]have[/i] to be original, you know. Sometimes they can be fun without being original, particularly if the game mechanics haven't been beaten into the ground, like these haven't and generic FPS's have.

    Very true and that wasn't the point. I was just predicting that a lot of the gaming mag's that think PSP is the sexiest thing to date will probably praise it to the skies for it's original approach. :) (Simply because most of the people that think PSP is the sexiest thing to date think Amiga is a Mexican prostitute. ;) Sooo.... not bashing the game, just a little frustrated with the current press.)

    Oh, I definitely agree on that point. I'm actually expecting lots of comparisons to Katamari Damashii (along the lines of "as original as...!" etc). For those of you who don't read Japanese, perhaps an [url=http://www.gamespot.com/psp/action/locoroco/index.html]english site[/url] will be more useful.

    After playing the demo more, I've come to the conclusion that drugged kids were involved in the production of the sound.
