So, I was sitting down with my father to eat just now, and one of my teeth fell out!!
It had hurt a bit before, but nothing I really was bothered with, was thinking of going to the dentist this summer to check up on all of them anyway, but now this?
Well, thankfully, the emergency dentist was available for 16.00 so thats only an hour away.
Gah!

Yes, I was pretty freaked out when I posted that, just had to post it somewhere..
Turns out I had an inflammation in the tooth, called a pulpit in Swedish (have no idea what it is in english), and they have to kill the root, but they fixed it up nonetheless, and Im going to come back in a month do do the rest..
Took half an hour and cost 470skr = $62 so, Im happy with that at least.
Remember kids, visit the dentist so you wont have teeth falling out randomly. Last time I was there was 4 years ago. Time sure flies.. ;)
We called the dentist, an they said, put it right back in. Apparently the best place for a tooth can comes out whole is right back in the socket until they can glue it up so it can heal.

The only good thing I can remember from the army is that I got 5 teeth filled for free.
Im pretty paranoid about my teeth too, but I really dont like going to the dentist either..
Neither do I, but it's preferable to having my teeth fall out. :) I also take good care of them between the annual dentist visits.
Am I the only one who likes going to the dentest?
Yes.
Worf

Yeah, I should start doing that. Both of them.. ;)
Problem is Ive never had any problem with them before. Never had a hole that is. Ive moved them around a lot though..

No, I've never had a problem going to the dentist. But then my Mom used to work for him, he was also a family friend and my godfather so.....
Come to think of it, I think I remember that. Its got to be more than a couple of years ago, right?
Well over a decade ago, actually. I even managed to do it twice in the space of a year. I guess it took that long for the idea to get beaten into me.
You're probably remembering me getting my wisdom teeth out, which was just over two years ago. If you ask, croxis will post the various quotes he claims to have collected off me in IRC from that time. :D

No, I have no problem going. I've been blessed with good teeth, so its no problem. Crooked, but good enamel.

Oh they are gen-u-ine quotes alright!
My wisdom teeth pulling went really well. I fell asleep during the operation, stopped bleeding that day, had almost no pain the day after, and had about 3 weeks worth of healing after 7 days.

That's what my dad did when he knocked out one of his front teeth when he was 25. Except he didnt bother going to the dentist....he just went to the DIY store, bought some superglue and stuck it back in himself:rolleyes:
My wisdom teeth are coming thru at the moment :( but to make it worse they come thru for a bit, then seem to stop for a month or 2 then start again
I still got 3 other wisdom teeth to have pulled, but waiting to have that done till I am on the wifes insurance. She just got a new job that has health insurance, but gotta wait till she has been there 3 months.
Once that happens, Im going to get the rest of the buggers pulled. One of them is impacted, so I know that one is going to suck when it comes out.

I had one of my wisdom teeth yanked about a month ago. No real pain. Healed up in about a week.

My bottom two were both impacted, the top two were fine. I had them all pulled anyway though, as the top two are useless without the bottom ones to grind against, and would have just been two useless teeth that were difficult to clean. I was fortunate enough to get them out on my parents' health insurance, so I had them all out at once under general anaesthetic.
