Calling all Firstones EVE players

croxiscroxis I am the walrus
So Worf and I had a very brilliant idea of forming a Firstones corp in Eve. We need some information however:

1) Who is interedted
2) What are you interested in doing in the Game (Industry, mission running, mining, pvp, pve, etc)
3) Where should we be based - High Empire, Low sec, or 0.0, and what alliance should we be close to if we choose to be in low sec.
4) Anything Else I have forgotten or you want to say/suggest

Comments

  • I am somewhat interested.. my current corp seems ok, but a new one might be nicer if the benefits are better. I'm mostly interested in making money. 0.0 is a bit too intense for me right now.. I'd prefer mission running and mining right now.. but eventually I'm going to want to get into PvP (and then I'd probably leave for a pvp corp). As for alliances, BoB sucks, I like ISS. Pretty much I just want to make money right now.

i should prolly start playing eve eh.
  • definately. For a free 2 week trial google EVE, and on the right there will be a link on the right that has the free trial.

I "think" I had around 7-9 million skill points when I left eve, a Megathron probably an Armageddon, handfull or cruisers and some buddies with bp's for just about anything you could ask for.

If I were to ever play eve aagin, I dont think I would be able to do any mining. I cant tell you how many belts Ive stripped, by meself, 11 hours, running 2 accounts on one computer, one mining and one hauling. Yeah, the game stopped being fun at that point. But you can be your ass if you needed minerals to build a ship I would get em.

as I said in IRC, I'd prolly play if I can, as a mercenary paladin type.

    an anti-pirate.

I buzz about protecting whatever interests we have with my ship/s.

meaning the miners and haulers can go about thier biz unharassed by all but the worst of foes.

Would like to join, but don't play much right now, and am pretty content where I am in Tundragon atm. And if I ever quit the bad evil pirate life, I'll probably go back to the corp I created for Sectorgame.

Oh i've gotten the free trials, I was also involved with the early betas, but after it went live, i just couldnt get into it for some reason.
  • yeah, I did the beta's.. it had lots of issues back then (ever have your screen fill up with error messages every time you docked? AHHHHH!). Anyway, its mediocre now, I'm hoping by the time I get into PvPing and stuff it'll be lots better.

maybe I should try a trial again to just play around with you guys. Last time I tried Eve I only saw HuntSmacker in game. But then again, I got Oblivion to play and should farm some more in Guild Wars so I got alot of gold when GW: Factions is released.
  • posting this because i can't find a link to the original thread on their forums and because we talked about it on irc (true story):

    "The Little Badger"

Once upon a time... in a land far far away... there lived a humble Badger Mk II... This little badger was always very sad because he could hear the screams of his fellow haulers from the Aunenen system. One day this little badger decided he wanted to change the way some pirates thought. So he went to talk to them...

The little badger warped to the Aunenen Gate and on arrival at the gate he jumped through... The scanners cleared and he readied himself. On restarting his sensors on the other side he was confronted with 2 scorpions, and some support craft... some of the ships had little skulls on there names... (He took this to mean they had been bad...) He also noticed that there was an Apocalypse battle ship heading towards the gate being flown by a lone BNC pilot.

There was a long trail of brightly lit missiles moving from the Scorpions towards the Apocalypse. The poor BNC pilot was being attacked by both the Scorpions... now the badger thought that this wasn't very fair... so he decided to help... fortunately the little badger had decided to try some new idea's! So he kicked in the sensor booster and locked both scorps... jamming the first of the 2 scorps removed all fire from him towards the apoc. The apoc was still moving towards the gate... Waiting for the jammers to deactivate so he could switch targets the 2 support craft warped away... followed by one of the scorpions... and then the second... No one was left...

So the little badger had scared off 2 scorpions using a single apoc and himself. Whilst laughing to himself the little badger started back towards the gate... That was plenty of action for today... and all he wanted to do was talk to the mean pirates...

... then out of the space lanes came a Scorpion Battleship... he was flashing red... OMG this could be it... the little badger started to think what he was gonna say...

Suddenly the targeting sensors lit up... Warning lights flashing... Oh dear he thought... kicking in the sensor booster and returning the lock... He was only 15km away... A volley of cruise and torp missiles started to head towards him... Lock established... funky! Engaging the jammers and the 20km scrambler whilst he closed the distance... the battleship had removed half of the little badgers cap using a nos... but once jammed he could no longer do that. The same time the little badger saw the missiles he received a warning message over the airwaves... and the sentry guns opened fire on the battleship.

With cap levels on the little badger draining fast he moved towards the battleship as fast as possible. Once within range the small nos, small blaster and strength 2 warp scrambler where activated. things where going well.. More warning lights lit up.. The energy reserves of the little badger where depleted. It would not be long before the modules shut down. ... suddenly the small gun/jammers/scramblers all stopped working... frantically he tried to get the jammers online again. 2 of 3 activated... but not enough... suddenly the locking indicator came back, warning lights flashed as more volleys of torps and cruise came towards the little badger... finally enough cap to activate the jammers! Then the scrambler... Good news, the sentries where through his shields... All he had to do was maintain the scrambler, and the jamming... the moments passed so slowly... but suddenly the Scorpion was into structure... and the little badger smiled, as the sentries lit up the sky with the explosion of the Battleship.

The little badger picked up the loot from the destroyed ship as the greedy interceptor nearby bounced off the can too far to take anything. The little badger needed the modules to fund the repairs on himself, as he had only 20% armor left.

The pirate could not believe he was just beaten by a very brave little badger.

The little badger then headed home... happy, that in future the bad pirate man would think twice if he saw a badger nearby...

The badger lived happily ever after...

    The End.
