Most irritating bird

E.TE.T Quote-o-matic
My vote goes for Whooper Swan... those have once again started their small hours recon flights.
Not that they would need any light, they keep such noise that they could avoid obstacles just basing to echo!

When I was little I was deathly afraid of the whippoorwill for some reason, I guess cause they would sing at night.

Anyway, now I love hearing their song because it means I out in the country.

Actually there's one of the Finland's best places for listening those 5km from here.

Actually I think doves are most unpleasant. How they wake you up at 5 am in the summer by cooing. Bastards. They are about the only animals II could kill outright..

If you've never heard it the Whippoorwill makes a very unique sound. Try to say the word whipporwill while at the same time whistling, that's the best approximation I can give you.

I was walking to campus one day and there were literally hundreds of crows in the trees. I thought I walked into a Hitchcock movie. ;) I hate crows... annoying birds.

I might be wrong about this, but i think it's illegal to shoot pigeons over here. Im pretty sure its illegal to shoot seaguls. god knows why they're both annoying. on the other hand, even if it weren't illegal, i dont think i could bring myself to kill one. im just not the sort of person to kill animals:rolleyes:

A guy in Pittsburgh was shooting pigeons with a pellet gun on top of a building... the SWAT team was called because they thought he was a sniper. He should have received a medal if you ask me. :D

Living in a seaside resort its Seagulls that are annoying. They have got excellent memories. Since yrs ago I fed one from home only once and it kept coming back every day for awhile even though I refused to feed it. In the end it gave up, but the next two yrs roughly spring, for one day it came back and pecked on the window again. Surprised it remembered. Specially the 2nd yr.
Also they try and take aim and pooh on you as well as your car.

Crows am not keen on nor Magpies. Don't like their noise. Magpies also steal other baby chicks I believe, horrible things!

My fave bird is the blackbird when singing. I don't really know that mnay birds.
