b5 DVD price drop

Well looks like the price on the DVD's has dropped, i was going to pick them up from amazon.com for $59 a few weeks ago, but decided to wait, i picked up seasons 2 and 3 at Sams Club today for $39 each, they are down to $44 on Amazon. gonna grab seasons 4 and 5 next week, WOO HOO!.

    Almost all major scifi box sets seem to be in freefall right now. I noticed every single scifi franchise becoming drastically more affordable in the last two months. Hell, I got DS9 seasons at around $40 each...in retail channels!

    I just got the German B5 universe R2 tin box set a week ago and I'm going through a B5 marathon right now, watching the whole set as quickly as possible just to absorb the entire story in as short a time as possible. IMHO it's still the best scifi show around. The new BSG story has not moved me as much as B5 still does.

    At 85EUR it was a real bargain too. The box does not include the 1st season of Crusade though, but the TV-movies including LOTR as well as a poster and a baseball hat. :)

    While the season box sets look nice and the disc retainers won't damage the DVD's should they come loose, I've seen cookies that were better packaged than this. The inside packaging that holds the box sets themselves in place is rather flimsy and some kind of cheap plastic mold. I suppose WB had to save money somewhere.

    Anyway, it's good to be back on B5. Activate defense grid! :robot:

    So i was back up there today, and was going to pick up seasons 4 and 5, and they SOLD OUT OF THEM! who says B5 isn't still popular, and this is in Bangor frickin Maine. 7 days, and they sold out of every single one except one copy of Season 5.

    i decided to not pick it up, i can wait until i need it and then just order it from Amazon its only $5 more expensive, and I do kinda need the cash for other things right now.
