in Babylon 5
I stumbled over this while browsing through the novel section at amazon.de, Amazon's German branch. While there's still the possibility that some of this stuff is supplemental material for Mongoose's RPG system, they are all marked as paperbacks. It just has the right ring of...no, not desperation ;) But I don't know, it's a gut feeling that this is the line-up of Babylon 5 novels to come.
So here's the list:

They are the novels that are published by Mongoose. Now again approved by JMS..
????
I tought the novels had the blessing of WB only.
Did JMS ever really start talking with Mongoose again after the consulting fee fallout? WIthout that I don't think saying this is "approved" by JMS is warranted.
Hi guys,
Latest news.
1. All going well, there will be a special preview edition of the first Babylon 5 novel, Visions of Peace, available at the Babylon 5 Open Day. Numbers will be _very_ limited, and this edition will not be reprinted (the cover will be noticeably different from the general release).
2. All novels will be 100% canon.
3. The full range of novels will begin release in July/August - I am still waiting to hear an exact date. The first month of release will see four novels, the second month another two. I am waiting confirmation of releases beyond that point.
4. I have already read part of Miss Christian's novel and I can now officially call it 'Most Excellent'.
5. We have recently initiated talks with another Babylon 5 actor who has expressed an interest in writing a new novel.
6. Work has started on tying up Crusade. . .
That is all for now. . .

On this page, so yes, JMS has given his thumbs up..
WB has "canonized" the Mongoose novels, but JMS has not said anything (actually he has outright said they aren't canon to him).
Fionna Avery no longer works at whatever B5 office WB had, so the other known official checker of canonicity is not supervising this.
On the other hand Mongoose did have access to lots of inside info to make their guide and gaming books canonical.
If Mongoose takes that info as the bases for the books they are unlikely to have major contradictions to the "JMS canon", I trust that to be the case.
But I'm still not very interested. If I read comments and reviews that say the novels are great novels, and not only that, they are good B5 stories, I will consider reading them.
But at this moment they just look like fan-fiction on paperback.
I guess I won't be getting them

No one, not ONE B5 fan should buy this guys misrepresented books. Anyone who openly lies and does not consult and get the blessing of JMS about anything related to B5 does not deserve to recieve one penney of support from the B5 community.
IMHO
I totally agree, yet there are still fans who are buying them. I just don't see how anyone could support this.
