    The QT movie indicates that the change of colour is achieved by heating the plate. Another strategy would be to add a layer of [url=http://www.eink.com/technology/howitworks.html]ePaper[/url] on concrete, but I think that could be applied only under indoor conditions.

  • The site doesn't work for me either, but Googling for pages that mention the site shows a page that has a link to the video... and this thread as the fourth link!

    I wonder if there might be a patent pending already published. That would be a source for details.

    Heat induced color change appeared in novelty plastic items years ago, it was based on liquid crystals IIRC.

    Cool idea, but the site is down, and Google didn't cache it.
