    It wasn't, unfortunately, much of a jail, either. Too luxurious, and more than he deserved.

    that bastard caused me to not go to Egypt and instead spend 8 months handing out food to refugees. Not that I didnt think they needed it because they did, I just wish I had seen the pyramids before it was unsafe to go to Egypt.

    oh no, I never went... I was out of the Marines about a week before september 11th.

    I was on a Med Float in 1998, it was my first deployment. We were about 4 months in, and only had about 2 months left at sea. We had pulled into a port in Isreal and were going to spend 3 weeks there (I think) and then go to Egypt. We were only in Isreal a week before we got re-routed back to greece. We convoyed up to a camp in Bosnia filled with refugees. The UN asked the US for more troops.

    Most of what went on there (the mass murders ect.) were over and done with when I got there. The people we were there to help just needed food.

    Very humbling experience.
