It always passes. It's just that the speed and direction fluctuate.

I always knew the Speed of light wasn't an impasssable barrier.

Actually, speed of light doesn't need to be constant over time for relativity to mostly hold. It only needs to be relative over velocity and any point in time.

Thank you, Yes they knew of the sound barrier for about 7yrs before they broke it.

In fact, Chuck Yeager went up specifically to break it.

if thier research is correct
the speed of light is decreasing as time passes....
so much for the theory of relativity and alot if physics rules in general...
if the speed of light is not constant... how can we be sure our timekeeping is constant..

I read this article, It gos on to say that gravity is the fastest physical force in the univerce. Many times faster than light. I read it at www.ldophin.org/gspeed.html
Very interesting reading, make a good argument for faster than light travel.

There's a big difference between the tip of a whip going faster than sound and moving a person faster than sound.

Well I know this, if I were to experience the tip of a whip, I'd be moving faster than sound to get away from it...

You could always tie a person on the end of a giant whip

[b]The speed of light is just another so called barrier to be broken as it was with the sound barrier.

The main difference being that the light barrier wasn't discovered by accedentally breaking it.

No we don't agree, or no time exists beyond our concept of it?
