Currently biggest ship will be ready in June and two more of that design will come out with one ship per year pace but I guess it's always good to have that ace in the sleeve...

They have Ghetto's?
Anybody see the newest Terrorist targets?
Actually on of the big problems with these ships is pollution, since many of these ships fly under non-US flags, in open seas they can get away with dumping a lot of things they othewise would not be allowed to.

The big Savoy theatre seats 1,320 guests. There are numerous restaurants onboard. The main restaurant is three decks high, and seats a total of 1,900 in five distinct areas. In addition, there is an ice skating rink onboard/Studio B, seating 900 passengers...
Damn... there's some really nice pics of construction of five smaller ships of earlier class:

No wonder one relative has been often in sea trials of some bigger ships... in last ten years 25% of worlds big cruise ships have been made by shipyards in Helsinki and Turku.

Hmm, how long before Royal Carribian starts quietly building a nuclear powered cruise ship?
I doubt it could, even if they wanted to. Yeah, I know - you were kidding.
Im thinking frothing at the mouth insanity.

Those big cruise ships don't really do it for me.

well, in a couple of the pics that i posted the URL to you can see this ship in them, http://www.downeastwindjammer.com/MargaretTodd/index.html
she does trips daily (and if you work in town and have a paystub, you get to go for free)
As for the big ships, i find them technologically fascinating, but i'd prefer a smaller ship i think.
i'll tell you, seeing her in our little harbor is pretty amazing.
We get the same effect here. Huge ship, small harbour, even smaller wharf.

But first you have to make outragous claims about the unsinkability of the vessel and make a big speech praising man's glorious and final dominion over nature...

The easiest way to solve that problem is carve the passenger ship out of an even bigger iceberg. Then it doesn't matter if you hit other icebergs.
What I want to know is why do all these ocean side locations have such crappy port facilities? when they are dwarfed by the port facilities in my small city; which is inland even! on a somewhat small river?!
Isn't feigned ignorance great?
So that ship isn't anymore just some design on paper.
Here's some very good photos from first Freedom-class ships leaving shipyard.
