    I would argue that while similar in many aspects to Shadow design methods, the piece is actually of Vorlon origin. The primary evidence of which is the parts intended function, being hair control. The operative word there is control, which clearly demonstrates that the item must of the same intent as the Vorlons, rather than from the Shadows.

    If one is interested in human hair management devices that are in fact designed by the shadows, one only has to take a look at a crimping iron. It is very clear, even to the casual observer that this piece of equipment is designed for chaos and to strike fear in the hearts and minds of those who have the unfortunate happenstance to view the user.

    Perhaps we are dealing with some kind of Vorlon-Shadow hybrid? Maybe an experimental Vorlon project to infiltrate the Shadows?

    While this piece of technology can indeed be used to contain and control hair and other extensions of the modern human skull, it's most often used to contain it in a style not achievable through normal means, possibly going against the rules and traditions of society. I believe this is further evidence of it being a hybrid Vorlon/Shadow device.

    It might have had an alternate function before being assimilated into human female hair culture. While shadows certainly embrace chaotic principles in their philosophy, they also assertain a certain control in their means to an end, an example thereof being their forced use of telepathic humanoids in their vessels.

    Its a widely held believe (at least by all the voices in my head) that such a device is the legacy of decorations and religious articles made to resemble the original Keepers placed on the early humans, proving that humans are, in fact, [b]not[/b] related to monkeys, which are, in fact, the true native terrestial sentient beings, but humans are infact extra terrestial imports, most likely descended from the creatures originally trained as spoo herders, similar to our border collies.
