Serenity in BSG?

I've just received the DVD of the BSG miniseries (I don't have satellite so this is my 1st viewing)

14mins 42 seconds in there looks like a Firefly class ship flying overhead.

    In a scene at the very end of the mini, when the camera pans across Galactica and the fleet (the same shot used in the opening sequence of the series), if you squint, you can see the original [i]Starship Enterprise[/i] behind the [url=http://www.battlestarwiki.org/en/index.php/Image:Space_Park.JPG]"Space Park" ship[/url], at the very beginning of the shot.

    A lot of the ships you see in the fleet were also in the fleet of the original Battlestar Galactica too.

    yep, saw that. It did give a sense of consistency to the 2 different versions



    I think I prefer the original Cylon fighers to the new ones.and the angular look of the original Galactica looks more menacing to me

    Well, Pegasus is pretty menacing.

    I think at one point in the mini you can also see the remanents of one of the large battlestars which must be one of Pegasus sister ships floating above caprica.

    that might be because pegasus wasn't even designed back then ;)

    Though it does throw some weight behind the idea that Galactica's ribbing is supposed to be there, and it isn't visible because the armor above it was stripped off.

    No thas not it. I'll have to browse through it again to see if I find the scene. I'm pretty sure it was a view from the rear and you could see it had the engine layout like the Pegasus with the 8 or so engines in the circular layout instead of the smaller side by side ones. I might be crazy but I'll check.
