Basically, storytime would usually involve a story from the bible, which to be honest I didn't enjoy much. I understand there are christian people here, so I am going to be careful not to offend anyone but I didn't believe in the stories we were being told as fact.
We never covered evolution either, I became aware of it from watching documentaries about wildlife and natural history.
Maybe it was just my school, but it was a public school so...
Worf
after i left that school i went to state school in aberdeenshire, where the only religious content came on rememberance day and at christmas and easter, and apart from rememberance day i refused to go to any of those assemblies. got in a bit of trouble for it, but i sure wasnt about to betray my beliefs by going along to them.
certainly i can count on 1 hand the number of people who are religious, and im not aware of any of them being anti-evolution.
