Nothing new on this side of globe, about every year they dig up or search unexploded bombs dropped to civilian targets by Soviets.

(altough some of those are possibly totally harmless, work gloves or Pravdas weren't good explosive fillers then and are equally much today)

Yes, there were some writing in the papers about it, but as E.T. said, theyre quite common. Both the allies and the axis chained a lot of mines off the coast of the baltic sea, and as those chains rust through, the mines drift to the nearest coast..

    Anyway, Yay Gothenburg!

Yup, that's not at all uncommon in this part of the world. For example there are still a whole lot of mines in the Gulf of Finland from the WWII era. That area of the sea was heavily mined back then and every year Finnish Navy is exploding some old mines which are found.

There's also a lot of bombs still in the ground and at the bottom of the lakes troughout the country. Every now and then some unexploded WWII bombs are still found, usually by construction workers when new buildings are built.
