From what I've read and seen.. It seems too unfunny.. :S
• croxiscroxis I am the walrus
I've watched and... well I enjoyed march of the penguins more
• Watched it last night, coincidentally.

I expected a lot more, but it was quite amusing in places. I expect much of its "genius" went right over my head…

Ok, didnt mean to say "any humour at all", more like "anything like my humour"..

It was very good though.. :D

So, Morden, been watching Naruto and Full Metal Alchemist too?

I found it completely unfunny. It was just so painfully stupid, and took ages for anything to happen. If I wanted to see an Anti-comedy, I'd see The Life Aquatic.

much as it pains me, i have to agree with sanfam :p :D my flatmate was watching it the other day, so i sat down to see if it was any good. i left after 10 mins:rolleyes:

I haven't seen it but a friend recommened it to me, so I looked it up, read a description and wasn't that impressed.

Very divisive movie, in the sense that you either love it or hate it... I didnt really like it, found it too stupid to be funny. But to each his own!

Sadly not mate, although my friend lent me series 1 of the X Files and series 2 of Stargate SG1 on DVD. ;)

Sounds good! I think I should start watching X-files from the start again too. The first season were very good..

Sanfam: I havent seen Life Aquatic yet, but from what Ive read, it looks like a movie for me. Royal Tenenbaums and Zoolander are two of my favourite movies, and Life Aquatic is somewhat like them, yes?

Eh, I loved Napolean, but you're right it is a divider of people. In reality the movie was a collection of one-liners, having little to do with each other, set against the dreary backdrop of rural Idaho. I believe the movie does make more sense if you've actually been to Idaho.

I'm really looking forward to "Tooms", that episode scared me sh*tless when I was younger. My friend is a real DVD fiend, and I wouldn't be surprised if I could watch the whole lot by just routinely borrowing what he gets. ;)

The Life Aquatic is a great movie. Wonderful writing, wonderful set design, wonderful acting, wonderful casting, and really cool music that will bug you until you realise what it actually is ( Spoiler: David Bowie songs in Portuguese).

Don't leave! Watch it to the end. Then, when people complain that you didn't sit through it and/or missed some of the jokes by doing so, you can punch them in the face.

Zoolander is amusing for other reasons. Honestly, I *hated* it the first time I saw it. Must not have been in the right mood, as nothing in it really "clicked" for me. Then I watched it again a couple of months later, and I found it to be pretty good all-around. I think my internal sarcasmometer falls over and breaks every so often, spilling a highly toxic (and mildly carcinogenic) humor-consuming compound all over the floors of my brain.
• croxiscroxis I am the walrus
Yah it took me a couple of viewings to warm up to zoolander, however I only was "meh" about it, not the "OMFG KILL ME AND EVERYONE IN THE ROOM NOW" with ND

Napolean Dynamite is a pile of poo.

It looks and feels like it was written by an extremely OC 1980's memorabilia collector whom wanted a wet dream/fantasy/vehicle-to-display-thier-collection of '80's SHIT.

tryhard, vile, contemptible waste of time.
