Nostalgia time again!
I know I've posted one of these before, but I was feeling nostalgic. Very soon after B5:ItF was announced, I was pretty excited. I exchanged a few e-mails with Marc. Check out the early system requirements!
These messages are dated Monday, October 6, 1997:

We're shooting for x-mas '98. As with most games, that may be too
optimistic, but we're really going to try.

Marc,
I just found out that you brilliant guys at Sierra On-Line will be creating a couple of B5 titles. Finally! I've been waiting for this kind of news for a long time.
One things for sure...if you can get the physics and visuals in the combat sim to mirror the show while keeping the physics of ship realistic, you'll have a winner on your hands. Just like the Star Wars games created by Lucas Arts, Visuals, audio and adherance to the original universe will make this game VERY popular. I have been a fan of Babylon 5 since it aired in 1993, and I'll be looking foward to hearing more about the game (and the reference CD).
I know you probably haven't gotten to deeply into the development yet, but can you make a guesstimate on an approximate release date (late 1998, 1999, etc.)?
Thanks,
Sam Kimpton
And the second e-mail:
It should run fine on a 133 w/16 meg --but if you really want to take advantage of what we are planning on delivering, start thinking about more memory and a 3D accelerator card --it will be worth it (higher polygon ships, cleaner textures, lighting effects, faster frame rates etc).

Marc,
Thanks for the reply. I'm not one of those people who badger game makers until they release a product. If it takes that much longer to ensure the game is better, then more power to you. I just hope it will run on a P133 with 16 meg of RAM....
Thanks again,
Sam K.

I remember I was planning at some point to buy a 400Mhz PC with like 64 or 128MB of RAM to get everything out of the game.

Sure, but do that in the Zocalo. This is a B5-only forum.

I bought my current PC to play the game on. I got the best I could afford, which was basically the best of everything except processor (they were really expensive back then).
