You know, I remember, a few months ago, when I said here I hadn't watched this series because I thought the name was silly, and that I'd get around to it eventually.

Well, I looked at the preview again and I suppose Gina could hold a grudge against Adm. Cain because of the torture she had to endure and Gaius may be the means for her getting out of the her cell and getting a gun.
That doesn't quite explain why she'd wear a flight suit though. Don't see her trying to escape or getting a chance at an escape. But then she could actually also be part of the flight crew since she ate with the officers in the mess hall.
Its possible Gaius will try to help Gina escape the ship during the attack. All the confusion it would be the perfect time. Could lead to a detour... but then she'd never get on the bridge not with guards posted on the entrance.

turns out she didnt have too, good call by the way.
Can I show uncoded spoilers? Better safe than sorry. I can always remove the tags later, anyway.
Spoiler: I wonder why Cain didn't follow through. Adama had a good reason; he hadn't been sanguine about it since Roslin first brought it up, and his philosophical chat with Sharon reminded him of where he wanted to stand.
Also, I hope Admiral Adama shows Captain Thrace some of the reports from Pegasus dealing with that whole executing-of-the-families thing. Somebody needs to be reminded of which side her bread is buttered on.
Also, he should un-demote Lieutenant Adama immediately, before he goes and kills himself. After all, he has to live long enough for the chief to kill him for breaking Galactica's new toy right after it was finished. :p

heh...
Spoiler: Maybe she didn't want to push her luck... you know, a second civilian fleet to strip for parts might get under the skin of even the most devout colonial warrior, not to mention Galactica's personell aren't civi's to begin with.
By the way you know they'll just build another one... ;)

Spoiler: I rather doubt his demotion has anything to do with his desire to die. It's the end of the world, the last surviving humans are ever ready to kill eachother, and his father just ordered his best friend to kill the commanding officer of another ship.
Whole world's gone insane. I'm not sure I'd want to come back to that either. And I don't know if I could stomach not wanting to come back when I promised a friend I'd stand by her.
If I have any criticism for that episode, it's really onlt that I found the parallels between Adam and Cain a bit heavy handed. But so much else was so goddamn beautiful that I can forgive it. The rought spots in this show rarely are that rough at all.
That game honestly looks like it could not hope to do justice to gritty reality of the show. Guess I'll have to hope for a mod to.. something. Only, there aren't any space sims anymore, let alone realistic ones.
Man on my list of ways to die, that would be near the bottom.
Edit: They sure are getting the most out of the special effects budget arn't they.
Edit: Wow another great one-liner keep them coming!
Edit: Well another quality ep, wonder how long they will keep Peggy along?
Anyway, am I the only one here who is increadably disturbed by the fact Tyrol, and Helo are free?
Granted thier intentions were noble but they did murder an officer, Cain may not have made all the correct decisions but she was right about one thing; Helo deserves to be executed.

I totally disagree---that guy they killed got what he had coming. Whether or not she was a "machine", the acts he did were atrocious because he did them, not neccessarily because of who he did them to.
There was a very poignant line by the Pegasus XO.."you can't rape a machine."
Or can you? Can't that act have the same effect on the witnesses to the act that it would if the act was real?
You don't need to dehumanize a real person to lose your humanity.
Spoiler: I'm pretty sure Helo and Tyrol aren't free and have just been transferred back to the Galactica.
I'm still really bothered by how crappy Cain's death scene was. Very, very easy to rewrite that so it is much better, but they turned to action movie cliche instead.
Shit:
"Fuck you."
"You aren't my type." Bang.
Less shitty:
"Fuck yo—" Bang.
Leave the camera for five to ten seconds. Focus on acting, not action. Let Tricia take the scene where it needs to go.
Admittedly, the "you aren't my type" line is a little more forgivable considering the entire crew of the Pegasus wasn't her type either, but it still wasn't a good scene.
And I was really bothered by the funeral scene, too. Without anything to lead up to it, it really made the character shift in Starbuck completely uncharacteristic. And those dress uniforms look like they came from Men's Warehouse. Dress uniforms that look worse than duty uniforms? How the hell does that work.
And I was a little disappointed in the scene with William and Laura. It just wasn't as beautiful as the last scene in Resurrection Ship. It wasn't bad, but it felt off, like they went with the wrong takes in the final cut.
And I was disappointed with the heavy handed parallels between Adama and Cain. Having Cain go through with the order while maintaining her ethical ambivalence would have been more interesting, but if they were going to let it be, at least a more interesting end to it than a simple mirror of Adama's actions would have been better. Guess we'll never know her reasons.
Still, there was some utterly brilliant work in there. Lee's story was wondefully understated, and using it to frame the space battle and the story was a great idea. The battle itself was nothing short of incredible. I have never before seen a director willing to embrace and use space rather than try and ignore it and pretend it isn't there. It was beautiful work. The scenes between Six, Baltar, and Six were also very interesting, and I really want to see where that's going.

Spoiler:
I so love the Homeworld style battle scenes too... Tonights episode especially!
Jack--I had that BSG game for my XBOX...wasn't too bad, but the controllers made it frustrating as hell.

They just went to the first commercial and... are they really going to do that?
[B]ok I missed the first broadcast tonight, but I'm catching the re-run thats on right now.
