(in alphabetical order) Biggles, Drazi Guy, Sanfam, Striker, and every one else I didnt mention by name... Thank you all for your dedication and effort for us. I cannot overstate how much you have given to this community and site. Just wanted to let you know how cool you all are. Thanks again.

Why thank you! Much appreciated. But really it's Sanfam and DG and Grinner and Lorien and Co who have put in the most effort, one after the other.

UUh...fileplanet doesn't make you pay...you just have to wait in line if you don't pay for a dedicated connection. It was just an idea, maybe not the best one, but then again, losing this place would be worse...not to mention anyone doing a search on fileplanet for babylon 5 would run across all of the mods.
I still like my Kazaa file sharing idea.... hosting all the large files on a dozen or two computers. Get people to promise to share only their FirstOnes stuff.
btw, I don't see anyone thanking Johan for his kind offer.

The owner of spacebattles.com, and the same guy that offered 300GB of traffic. Did you not click that link I posted?

Thats very kind of him! If hes serious that would be a bloody nice thing to do!
While you're thanking people you should also remember Arbad and Gunfire who added a lot to the site when you "Young Ones" weren't even around. Without them Firstones.com possibly wouldn't even be here today.
In fact, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm recalling that the place was originally "Arbad's FAQ" when the game was in very early stages (during the 1st "backwards" forum) and then pretty soon became Firstones.com when the game got further and Lorien came along. Any of you old guys remember this? It's been too long.....

That's about the time that I turned up, I think PJH. Possibly a bit before. It's so long ago now it's hard to remember. I think that when I turned up, firstones.com had got going.

Well, a significant amount of monthly bandwidth is consumed by the mod downloads, most notably the Homeworld mod and Buda5. If you asked everyone to start using a download script that would pick a random mirror, I think bandwidth usage would decrease quite a bit. Surely there are a handful of people that would be willing to help host such popular files?

It's the bandwidth that is killing them. They are averaging now about 35 gigabytes or so per month.

I don't own firstones.com. That's up to Sanfam since he runs the site.
