Release of German B5 Superbox & contest
Alpha-1
Elite RangerGermany
Good news for all german B5-Fans: On Monday, the Babylon 5 Superbox was finally released. The really nice looking box set includes all B5 Seasons as well as a set with all the B5-movies, from "The Gathering" to "Legend of the Rangers: To Live and Die in Starlight". Furthermore, the Intro of the Psi-Corps-Episode has finally been corrected, the booklet now features a B5-timelane, and the box includes some nice presents for fans of B5, like a B5-cap and posters.
Unfortunately, every light casts a shadow, thus there are also some drawbacks. Things that bothered german B5-fans since the first release of the series, that would have been rather easy to correct, weren't, like the awful sounding titles for the Seasons 3 and 4 (translated: "Martial Law" and "The Liberation of Proxima 3"!!). Furthermore, while the packaging of the season-sets has changed, the DVD's still look the same, which looks kinda weird given the silver cover of the new boxes. And: The movie set only includes the original version of the pilot (without any extras) and the original release of "In the beginning", without the commentary by JMS and/or the short "making of"-featurette of the Region 1-release.
German B5-Fans that are nonetheless interested in the Superbox, but don't have the necessary cash, can try their luck with the current competition of the Science Fiction Community . They are celebrating their 5th anniversary with a big contest, and the main prize of the final turn is a Babylon 5 Superbox. German B5-fan that want to attend should note that the current competition ends Saturday, November 26th, at midnight (MET).
