There's just something magical to me about the photograph. And the story is inspiring, too.

    I still think that nobody has quite understood the impact of this. This man has developed a truly disappearing dye. Exposure to oxygen, water, or heat via friction will cause the molecules to close up and stop letting light pass through. It's a truly incredible compound, and is based on one of the most difficult to stabilize varieties of molecular structure. The fact that he's not only developed a cheaply mass-producable version, but one for almost 300 distinct colors is unbelievably incredible! This is something people have wanted for ages, something that 3M and Dupont have been struggling to develop for decades. And not only that, but the dye bonds evenly to a surface, making it all the more incredible.
