Wow, that is a really great looking cover! And Sinclair is right in the heart of the action, as he
should be. [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/smile.gif[/img]
Although, I kind of wish the art had a cooler motif with hues of blue, more evocative of Babylon 5's
location deep in space, isolated, all alone in the night... [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/smile.gif[/img]
I wonder if each disk case will have it's own cover (with cover art themed to the episodes on that
disk), or will it be the same as the season case cover?
Also, I wonder if each episode will be longer than what we saw on television, where they had to stay
within strict time limits. Maybe we'll get a "Director's Cut" of each episode, with additional footage.
Wouldn't that be awesome?! [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/smile.gif[/img]
I doubt it... unlike movies, TV shows are written to be a set number of minutes long.. Knowing this, JMS would not have written or filmed extra scenes, I would wager.
You're probably right, Drazi. But at least we'll get to see every last second of every episode
with no commercial interruptions. [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/smile.gif[/img]
I certainly hope that they use the highest possible bit rates for the video, so each disk shows
the very best video quality DVD is capable of displaying.
I wonder if they'll redo "The Gathering" and "In the Beginning" in the (hopefully) high standard
of the season box sets.

JMS has occasionally mentioned scenes that have been cut for time. Usually, it's just the extension of an existing scene. There's always extra footage, but it's usually not terribly interesting. Most of the time, it's shots from another angle, or only a few extra seconds of a scene.
I was ignoring that kind of extra footage... though a couple of times I have thought it would be neat to be able to get all of the filmed stuff and make you own cuts of tv shows and movies.
samuelk: Even if it's only an extra 30 seconds per episode, where you get to see a few scenes more
fully played out without the need to rush, then that would be a great bonus for the DVD's. [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/smile.gif[/img]
That's all I meant, I don't expect an episode to be changed by it (nor would I want it to be), just a
little more detail added by the scenes not being pressed for time.
Well, the Gathering Special Edition had some longer scenes than the original and I think it was definitely worth it to see them. It would be great to see what was left out of the regular episodes too.
What the... since when has PJH been The Lovely Thing? Damn, you spend two weeks in the army and everything goes belly-up. I haven't got my [b]Official FirstOnes Spellchecker[/b] tag yet either.
