Vorlons in my Head
The Vorlons told me to.
in Zocalo v2.0
Bought the S1 boxset for yesterday and its got quite a few good extras. Mostly its got all the behind the scenes stuff and commentary you can download from the Sci-fi webpage but it has some cool concept art and a lot of pretty interesting deleted scenes. Most of them are actually Boomer scenes that got killed off because they had Boxey in them. He really didn't seem to fit in too well and just like every other character he was a trouble maker. Its too bad they got cut. They really let you see much deeper into Boomers agenda. There's a great scene in which she's practicing unholstering and and shooting (with no ammo) her sidearm swiftly and quickly. As if practicing to take somebody out before anybody can react and stop her. Would have been very obvious in the finale what she was unwittingly practicing to do. It was funny because the scene ends just as she unholsters for the last time and right as she clicks the trigger Boxey walks right in the door with his face directly to the gun as it clicks in his face. Now I really want the S2 DVD's to see the footage that was left out from Pegasus.
On a sidenote, right next to the BSG DVD's in the store the had all the B5 boxsets. Man was I tempted but damn, at $100 per season that is hard to swallow. I guess the B5 VHS collection will have to hang around a bit longer.

Lt. Kara 'Starbuck' Thrace: [Starbuck's filling in for Apollo at the squadron briefing] Now, one of you has been coming in a little hot lately, a little too hot, a little, um - oh I don't know, he's-burning-up-the-deck-with-his-skids-because-he-just-can't-pull-back-on-the-throttle hot. Now who is this speed demon, my prince?
Boxey: Flat Top, sir!
[the squadron catcalls]
Lt. Kara 'Starbuck' Thrace: Flat Top, you got a need for speed, do ya? Just can't wait to get back to the Big G and the loving embrace of your fellow pilots? Or maybe you have a hot date with your right hand?
[more catcalls]
Ryan 'Flat Top' Cisco: Hey, it never gets a headache!
Lt. Kara 'Starbuck' Thrace: Tell you what, Flat Top: you come in too hot today and you may have to start using your left. Okay, you've been fun, you've been a great audience, dismissed!
and, of course
Col. Saul Tigh: Where's your mommy?
Boxey: Dead. Where's yours?
(wait, was that bit cut? Damn, I can't remember)
Or he should hear Baltar say something incriminating to the #6 in his head, so he could blackmail Baltar for anything he wanted.
