There's definitely enough stupidies to tens comedies in this area.
For some reason I think religious fanatics/extremists won't like this movie, after all it breaks their holy cow of this pest being above other animals.

and E.T. ... the last part was unnessasary, comments like that are what, IMHO, are slowly tearing this forum apart.
A#, you would do well to learn to ignore comments by people who have differing views on religion to you about it.
It's called "tolerance."

i thought that was just a nasty rumor :p
seriously, it does seem that the only heated debates we ever have these days are about religion. kinda sad really:rolleyes:
For information about this movie third post in that forum seems to be best source. Google mainly gives links to sites which barely know more about this movie than its name!
(some "even" know its actors)

Well duh. That's because I finally won all those arguments with you guys, and we've all agreed that Bush rocks, communism sucks, and nations with terrorists should be nuked. Open and shut case. With that out of the way, there's not much to argue about.
we've all agreed that Bush rocks
well i certainly know of some rocks with a higher IQ level than Bush.
Anyway, if there were going to be a backlash against this film, I would hope it would be because it involves laughing at the deaths (albeit fictionalized) of innocent (albeit stupid) people, and not because of an implicit reference to evolution. I know which one I would find morally objectionable.
(Not to say I have anything specific against the Darwin Awards. I don't object to them, but I feel a small amount of guilt/ghoulishness/shame at laughing at people's deaths. I therefore tend to mentally separate the circumstances (which are funny) from their results (which are sad), just for my own peace of mind.)
